There are no leads to batteries included with charger
This battery charger requires that you make your own battery and electrical (110 volt ) leads . It will not work for 24 or 36 volt charger applications such as trolling motors .

A great replacement for the old Promariner chargers
I replaced my factory original Promariner charger with this rig earlier this summer. I had a 40AMP in my 97 Sea Ray 400. This unit was "nearly" a drop in replacement. The only modifications required for my install were to extend the bonding wire (simple) and relocate (drill new) mounting holes. No big deal. The 12V and 110V connections worked perfectly with no modifications required. The charger looks pretty slick and generally seems to work well after having it installed for 6 weeks now +/-.Pro-tip (actually, not pro tip) - If you're replacing the charger on a Sea Ray (possibly other brands as well) you may find that the battery switches don't actually cut all power to the charger/batter banks. Obviously....the bilge pumps are never switched. Of course most of you knew that already. But for those of you seeking wisdom let me spare you the shock (pun) of finding out there is still power on those leads before you yank them out of the metal housing of an older charger unit. Yup, go ahead and spend the extra 5 minutes and disconnect every batter at the actual battery terminals like a smart person would do (smarter than me). Trust me on this one...:)Ohh and hey, in case you don't heed my advice above and own a late 90's 400 Sundancer, the main battery breakers are located behind the panel with the switches on it. Should you find yourself needing to reset one of those, it's just four simple screws away. Enjoy...

2008 Searay 420
Do you homework on this boys and girls. I upgraded from a older 30 amp model and did it by the book due to fear of insurance issues at a later date. Bigger breakers, larger gauge wire, etc. However, now that it's done it brings great piece of mind knowing the boat will start when the button is pushed.

Excellent battery charger
Just what our boat needed! Previous owner installed too small of battery charger for the boat so I purchased this one based off of my battery needs and other reviews. So far it has been what my battery banks have needed. Easy setup and can accommodate a wide variety of battery types. You will need to use your existing wiring or make new wire runs and connections depending on what your replacing.

Awesome so far!
This was a great purchase. I have four 8D batteries and as we did a large project on my boat, we had to continually use the lights which were a series of 100W 12V bulbs. Before this arrived I was struggling to keep the batteries up high enough to start the engine despite being plugged into shore power all the time and having a conventional 2 to 40 amp battery charger on the batteries all the time. After we hooked up the ProMariner, it took a while for the batteries to become fully charged, but once they got full, the maintainer did not even come on very many times during the day as we worked. Maybe a little early to tell since I have only had it in the boat now for two days, but as of right now, it looks like a great purchase and I am very happy with it.

Easy install, put it in, set it up and forget it
The previous ProMariner charger was in the cruiser I just purchased and 6 days after owning our new boat it went dead. But to the defense of ProMariner it was 7 years old, 2 years passed the manufacturers warranty. So I repurchased the same model with a 3 year extended warranty through Amazon. Install was easy and set up even easier. It’s been in the boat for 10 days now and charging perfectly. Nothing more really to say about the product other than clean install and clear easy to read instruction from the manual and on the terminals. Shipping from this vender was awesome. I received the charger way earlier than expected!

It gave a pretty accurate time estimate to complete charge
I've been having weird 12v issues on my boat for two seasons. My sonar would shut off when drift fishing for fluke. My stereo would flash on and off. lights would dim very fast. toilet wouldn't flush. I don't have a generator so I have about 500 amp hours of batteries in 3 banks. Brand "X" that was installed previously would go on for 30 minutes and then say complete. Go figure when I installed this promariner it was on for 12 hours. The remote showed exactly how much power was being used to charge the batteries. It gave a pretty accurate time estimate to complete charge. No more weird problems. everything works , I can leave the lights the fridge the vhf the sonar the stereo all on for hours while engines are off.

Very Nice Cgarger, but.....
Very nice charger. Reacts instantly to 12 volt demand on the system. Variable output, delivers a charge amperage only as required. Installation instructions were vague and could have been clearer. All pictures show the charger wired, but the only wire that comes with the charger is a heat sensor wire, which in my case was about five feet short. The registration card for warranty required it to be sent in within two weeks of purchase, but in my case, it took longer than two weeks to gather the wire, ternminals, HD terminal crimper, AC power cord, etc. to complete the installation as a weekend boater.

A very smart charger.
This is a really nice charger. I did a ton of research and it paid off. Installation was straight forward and no surprises. The led Voltage and Amperage Display takes all the guess work out of determining what’s going on with the batteries. This charger replaced the one that came with my boat from the factory.Wow what a difference. If I was buying a new Boat I would expect to see this charger installed.

Buy the Remote as well ....... you won't regret it!!
Just installed as a replacement in the engine room of my 43 Ft Hatteras..... so far so good! Installation was straight forward and appears to be working as advertised. I would definitely recommend purchasing the Remote display as it provides easy access to display all information and programming changes if required.
