These are always my go-to pen for years and years.
I love really high quality pens, and since I write a lot (both by hand and also on a PC laptop computer), I am super picky about what kind of pen I use. These Pilot Precise V5 Stick Rolling Ball Pens are simply my go-to favorites. I keep trying less expensive kinds and different styles, but I ALWAYS come back around to these. Even the ones that try to be a knock-off of these still don't nail it completely with their quality and consistency. Their precision and the way the ink flows with these are simply the best for this price range. While I also own much fancier and more expensive pens that I love (a Waterman, for example - and I LOVE MontBlanc), those aren't practical on a daily basis when you're writing large amounts of stuff. These are the kinds of pens I have to guard with my life, because they conveniently disappear amongst my other family members and friends. I've bought huge packs of them before, and someone is ALWAYS trying to swipe them! I love these better than most gel pens (although I like those too at times), as they don't dump as much ink as you're writing. It's much finer and more precise, and they feel sturdy and consistent in the hand each and every time I use them.Overall, these are my favorite pens to use that won't bust my bank, and almost have a "fountain pen" pointy feel to them (even though they're clearly a rolling ball). Love these after using them for 15+ years! Two thumbs up!

One of the best pens ever
These are my go to Pens from Pilot. I really like their click V5 Click Pens, but I usually keep one or two in the collar of my polo and I've had one leak on a shirt before. So back to the Capped version. These write so well and come in enough different colors if you happen to have a young daughter that enjoys doodling. If you haven't tried one of these Pilot Precise Pens the V5 is the way to go. I think the lines the V7 produces are just a tad to thick. Enjoy!

Love these pens! GREAT FOR LEFTIES!
The packaging these pens came in was squished because they were shipped in an envelope instead of a hard box. The pens survived, so I don't really care. Some of the pens are spread throughout my house, but I believe 12 came in the package. This is a really good price for these pens compared to other amazon deals and brick-and-mortar stores. As for the pens themselves:PROSI love how they write. The ink comes out very smoothly, even compared to micron pens. It is nice and dark, but doesn't stain through paper. Even in cheap notebooks I can use both sides of the page with this pen. The ink is dark and doesn't fade over time. As a lefty, pens can smudge horrifically. The pens don't do that, and I write extremely quickly. The only time they smudge is when I go over a line several times to darken/bolden it and then immediately rub over it with my hand. I use these primarily to take notes during class. Compared to other pens, I feel like I write more quickly (due to the good ink flow) and more neatly (because the pen doesn't drag/catch on the paper). These pens have a very thin barrel compared to other pens, which I like. They don't feel heavy, and I feel comfortable writing with them for long periods of time. These are now the only pens I buy for writing purposes. I also like that I can see how much ink I have used in a window on the side.CONSWhen I took these pens in the airplane, something inside broke. This damage isn't noticeable until you start writing with them and the ink comes out much more quickly than usual.REGARDING THE COLOR (and other colors)The pens I got were all black, but as note for people looking into other colors:The red and green are great colors. The blue is nice and dark, but is more visible through the backside of the paper compared to the black. I can not write on both sides of cheap paper with the blue pens. The black is a really nice dark black.

Great Pens
I'm a die-hard Pilot G2 fan. Specifically, 0.38. I like to write smaller. However, these are really nice to write with. They're frictionless across the paper compared to the G2, so you have to be more precise and have a softer touch, but the black really black and looks great. They're also better than the G2 for writing on some kinds of paper (like signing the check at a restaurant printed on thermal paper). A lot of finer pens don't really seem to want to lay down much ink on those.
