ADVANTUS CORPORATION 12 Fasteners, Assorted Antique Finishes, TH92731

I purchased these hitch fasteners to use in my hand made journals. These were the only brand that I could find so I gave them a try.They are a little smaller than I would like but they get the job done. The quality and finish is very nice. I do wish there were more in the package.I'm sure I will be purchasing more of these in the future unless I can find some slightly larger ones.

I love using these as little "drawer pulls" for dresser draw 3D paper crafting projects made with matchbox style dies. Keep in mind that one package contains 5 each of 3 different finishes (antique brass, silver and regular silver I think) so if you are working on a large project with more than 5 drawers and you want all to match, you'll need to buy more packages. So for example, if you are making a mini dresser with 3 boxes stacked on top of each other, you could easily get away with one package and have 3 drawer pulls using these hitch fasteners, all matching. In my case, I need 12 matching fasteners so I needed to buy 3 packages, which is fine, the price of these is very affordable, and I'll have enough to make two more of the same project with the other fasteners. If your project has a very "grungy" look I'm sure it would actually look great with the mixed finishes in one project however. Just a matter of personal preference. Just thought I'd mention all of this in case you haven't purchased these before and its unclear from the photo or the description. Its just a bit of a bummer that Amazon sometimes only offers these smaller priced items as "Add On" items requiring you to buy a minimum of $25.00 worth of items shipped from and sold by Amazon before you can include it in your order! Ugghhh. If you have something on your wish list that is available for pre-order, you can add that to your cart if this shows up as an "Add On" item and the cost of your pre-order item will count towards the $25 minimum, but they won't charge your method of payment until the pre-order item ships out. So to make a long story short, wait to buy these when you are buying something else you already need and stock up! The quality is excellent. I've used them with medium weight chipboard and they fit perfectly. I hope they keep making these for a long time, its one of my all time favorite "embelishments" designed by Tim Holtz.

If you're looking for regular brads, keep it moving... These fasteners are fabulous, and deserve to be shown off in whatever craft projects you make. I purchased these explicitly for use in a Steampunk Spells (Graphic 45) scrapbook album I was creating, and they worked like a charm! I personally liked the knob aspect of the fastener, that allowed me to wrap a thin lengthy chain around about six of these babies to give my scrapbook album that extra special steampunk edge. If you're into Tim Holtz's vintage-antique-steampunk-gear look, these will make a great addition to your craft supplies/projects! Highly recommended!

I love anything and everything that Tim Joltz makes. These hitch posts work great with my junk journals to keep them closed, especially because I tend to overfill mine.

Used these for my daughter’s jewelry box redo. Pretty sure that’s not what they are intended for, but it was perfect. Had to find longer screws and found M3 machine screws to fit at my local box hardware store. They look great.

I love that these fasteners look like tiny door handles. They beef up the front cover of books. I can wrap some twine or elastic around to keep the alligator mouth down. Package had 3 different colors fasteners which is nice.

I love these. Use them for all kinds of projects. I like mine to be silver so i just use a little silver alcohal ink on them and Bob's your uncle. there you have it. The review asked me to rate the "stretch" what is that? I didn't give it any stars. You might want to proof read your reviews. lol
