Great performance. Stays cool and doesn’t overheat like a different brand that I had. Connected two HDM Displays along with USB-C and standard USB devices. All through power magnetic connections on my Surface Pro 9

I bought this adapter for my Microsoft surface pro 6 and began to use it right as COVID started. It worked well as soon as I hooked it up. I was able to connect my mouse and headphones through the docking station. And my two screens which I used for work. It was a very smooth and easy operation. I did 3 years worth of work using this connection. Working from home was made easier and I couldn't be happier. So far it has been a good deal for me. Unfortunately I started using a work laptop and I had to use another dock station. I haven't used the Microsoft dock station anymore because now I can just use my laptop for personal use instead of work.Overall, this dock station has the highest recommendation from me. Hopefully other users have found this product to be as easy and efficient as I have.

Connected to charge the first time I used it all was fine. Second time I connected it, lights come on, will not charge my surface laptop. Cannot speak to the other connections as I never had a chance to use it. Now the 30 days to return have passed and I am stuck with a 150 paper weight. Additionally, I have to now order a charger as I cannot use my laptop

As advertised, works well so far. Could use another HDMI port for a screen instead of having to us the VGA port.

Maybe this will help others avoid my back and forth --All connections in this hub work fine individually and perform super well.I was having a hard time connecting to both my phone and an external hard drive at the same time, though. As soon as I plugged both in - the connections on my Surface went haywire and the two devices kept disconnecting.Contacted the seller and seller was super responsive and quick to help but still a bit unclear.Found this other review elsewhere that helped me troubleshoot -"The vendor does say: "When connecting an external hard drive or multiple devices to this Surface Pro hub, connect your laptop's power adapter to the Micro USB Power Delivery port." What this message really means is that--in order to run an external hard drive from this hub--you have to provide power to the 5v micro USB input on the end of the device."Basically - connect the 5v micro USB (that comes with the hub) from the hub to an EXTERNAL power source (like a wall outlet). Then the two devices plugged into the hub itself, connected, and worked no problem.Great that the seller is responsive and that this hub comes with the 5v micro USB cable itself as well.

This product functions for me overall, and being that my Surface Pro 6 is considerably outdated at this point I cannot be too picky. However, I purchased this in order to run 2 separate monitors, an external keyboard, and my portable SSD. The device properly allows connection of my USB keyboard (most of the time), the SSD, and 1 external monitor through HDMI. I have procured and attempted many combinations of cords and adapters in order to connect my second monitor via the display port, USB-C, and VGA cables with now luck (Yes, both monitors function individually with a known good HDMI cord, and neither function without the HDMI cord in any combination of other cords/adapters that were all tested to function via a separate USB-C based docking station for my work laptop). As the majority of the time I only really NEED 1 extra screen, this isn't too problematic, but still annoying as it advertises being able to have multiple and that was my intended use. I could have just continued using my single Mini-Display port to connect to only 1 screen, but the external keyboard and SSD make it worth keeping.The biggest issue I have, is that it somehow damaged my Mini-Display port. The mini port no longer functions with any cord other than this one, and this one Disconnects/Reconnects anytime the cord or device are slightly moved. This is of course a major annoyance and is the ONLY fault I have had with the surface device since buying when it first released. I had no intention of upgrading my device, but the repair fee costs nearly as much as the cost to procure a new Surface Pro 8.I don't even want to return this adapter as it is the ONLY one that works with my surface now, and it seems the only solution is to upgrade which would then render this adapter useless!I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR ANYONE THAT INTENDS TO CONTINUE USING THEIR SURFACE REGULARLY.

The one thing that bothers me about my Surface Pro 6 is the lack of ports for displays or USB connections. I got this product to help with that. Let me just say, this product does at it advertises. It is great for working on multiple displays, like I usually do. It extends the screen to all displays, rather than just mirror the second and third display like other similar products. I am able to add my external hard-drive and plug the dock into a power source. Here is my issue, and it might just be a faulty product I got sent. Right out of the box the cord that connects to the laptop was very finicky, like an old charging cord that needs to be at the right angle to charge your device. If I move my computer while I'm working, the connection gets interrupted and I have to adjust the cable to make it more stable. I don't know why it does this. The actual cable inside the rubber coating has some wiggle room in there, which doesn't seem right to me. It gets very frustrating at times, and I feel like I did not get the value that I paid for. If I didn't have this issue, I would give it five stars. Not sure if customer support would be willing to help me with this issue, but that would also warrant five stars in my book if they tried.

this is a rock solid product my only disappointment was after the fact realizing that the 5 volt input on the side is really just to charge or use various USB 3.0 devices I had to buy an additional charger to leave at the office I was hoping this would charge the unit as well I was wrong and no one really could answer these questions when I looked online before buying so now you are aware you will need an additional charger if you are leaving this dock at your office as I don't like carrying Chargers around with me. apart from that little oversight this is a rock solid product you can see the build is excellent quality and I am quite impressed with it for the money compared to what it would have cost me to buy the Microsoft branded version that would have been well over $300 here you can pick it up and get a charger for an extra 30 bucks and you're up and running.

Die Inbetriebnahme war spielend einfach. Alle Stecker rein, wo sie passen und los.Die externe Stromversorgung der Station läuft über ein USB-Kabel. Ein Netzadapter wurde leider nicht mitgeliefert, ich hatte aber noch andere daheim. Für mich also nicht schlimm.Dadurch, dass die Kabel rundherum weggehen ist die optische Sortierung nicht ganz optimal, aber für mich kein Problem.In Summe ein guter Kauf.

The design is good, and looks sturdy.This surface dock meets almost all my needs. I usually need more than two USB ports, but the surface only has one. Without the dock, each time I need to connect another external drive or phone to the surface, I have to disconnect the current device. Also, when using the surface at home, I prefer a larger display by connecting to an external screen. To meet these needs, I need a USB hub and a connection cable. The dock solves all these problems in one. It has three USB ports, two HDMI ports, a built-in card reader, and so on. It is really a good and necessary accessory to me.I noticed an interesting thing when using the dock. My surface shows two storage devices when the dock is connected, even no external devices are connected. When I try to open these devices, the system reminds me that 'please insert the disk.' I am not sure if it is a built-in function or not, but it does not matter.The last thing I think can be improved is the weight of the dock. It seems heavier than twice the weight of my phone. The portability will improve if it could be lighter.
