Baby's First Impressions: Numbers

Excellent
The reviews were great on this so gave it a try. Our granddaughter loves these! She is learning numbers and letters on letters dvd. Impressive. So simple and made in the 90s but uses real children and babies which she loves. Not even 2 and she can count. Highly recommend.

awsome kids video
My older kids watched this on video and now i got it for my younger ones on dvd. They still love it. I like the origonal version best, but this updated version is nice too. It goes over the numbers up to 20 now. It has no abnoxious cartoons or music but has a nice soundtrack. The kids on the video actually look like they're happy and having fun. This was also great for my oldest son who has Downs syndrome. after 8 years of watching it he still loves it! He counts along with the video.

Simply excellent
This program covers the most basic parts and goes beyond to cover finger nails, wrists, etc. Each part is illustrated multiple times with different children and also used in sentences. (i.e. for arms, "He's using his arm to lift the weight.") There is also a question section at the end ("What part of the body do you wear socks on?"). Some of the clothes are a bit 90's but young children won't care. This program does an excellent job of going over everything and is far less annoying than most children dvds. (My one dislike is the mime they have for a few seconds at the very beginning. I usually fast forward through that part.)My 3 yr old loves this dvd and has expanded on his vocabulary of body parts from watching it. This is an excellent vocabulary building tool!

Very fun educational tool
My son loves this. I used to borrow this DVD from library. When I wanted to buy it, I realized it was not selling in Singapore. I ordered this from amazon and shipped to my brother who lives in US. He brought this during his recent trip to Singapore.

A bit boring. There are much better number videos out there
This video is ok, but they have way too much time showing babies and kids playing around with foam numbers. I mean, get on with it already!!! They have lots and lots of counting from 1 to 10. At the end of the video they say that counting goes beyond 10 and the kids count from 1 to 20 one time. My favorite part was near the end when the screen was full of jelly beans and the numbers are drawn among the jelly beans. This video is ok but, as I said at the beginning, there's just too much filler of kids playing. Brainy Baby 123's is bascially the very same video but improved upon a bit. They go beyond 10 and count things up to 20 and they still included the jelly beans on the table that I liked. I would recommend Brainy Baby 123's over this one. You do not need both because Brainy Baby has almost the exact same scenes as Baby's First Impressions but Brainy Baby also added a bit more animation and computer work. Please read my other reviews.
