The double wall insulation the best and these are beautiful. They are very easy to scratch with metal cutlery so use plastic if that matters. Avoid cleaning with steel wool. Just use a plastic scrubby or a lint-free washing cloth. For camp shaving, this makes a very nice heat-holding basin for hot water for one person. They stack nicely but are much heavier than placing plastic bowls. NOT for backpacking but are fine for car/truck travel camping. Easy to steam clean or run through a dishwasher.

WOW, what a wonderfully designed dinner plate. Measuring straight across it's 9" inches total, & there is about & 1 1/2" deep rim going around this plate, & the flat bottom of the plate is approx., 7" inches. This makes the plate very usable for various purposes. Eslite 6-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel plates stand out from all of the others that I looked at, and I am very impressed with it's design, decoration, and quality of materials used. I bought one set and now I'm buying another one. These plates will last a very long time and, I will be passing them down to my children. At $19.99 for 6 plates; get them while they last!

These look good, easy to clean. I like them more than regular dinner plates other than they can't go in the microwave (obviously)

High quality thick but not heavy steel, great lip could almost work as a bowl which for me means my kids won’t drop things off their plates when walking to the table.

Wanted something for our family to use at group gatherings, instead of paper plates. Have Stainless Steel straws, (no more plastic straws in the land fill), Stainless Steel insulated cups, (no more Styrofoam cups in the land fill) and now Stainless Steel plates (no more paper plates in the land fill). 9" in diameter at the rim, 7" across at the base. Could double as a shallow soup bowl. Wipe out with a wet towel and wash up at home for next use.

OK so when people say things are tough I tend to not believe it usually I'm not overly impressed. Yea I would be wrong here these things are solid as a rock..the bottom does not bend or move at all. I was purchase something to put in my hiking bag something I could eat out of cut on cook on filet a fish on if I had to. I have literally done all of those. I put lunch on the thing once stuck it on top of my mini cook stove and heated up dinner and it held up with no problem. There a little dented scratched one of them is a tiny warped but I have put them through some serious abuse I wish I purchased them a long time ago.Update .. year 2.i can't believe that things are still usable. A few weeks ago I was on trail and need to dig a hole well guess what they double as a shovel. Dug a hole .. pounded in a tent stake.. made my dinner on an open fire mind you.. and still rock solid after more uses then I can name.

I originally purchased for non rust 18/10 stainless steel dog bowls. Great for that, but we also use them for meal prep and camping. If I had small kids would be great for that too with the raised edge.Easy to clean and have been very useful.
