Hot Toys Resident Evil 4 HD Videogame Masterpiece 1/6 Ada Wong

This figure is well worth the money! I love it! The detail in it is simply wonderful, and that includes not only the detail on the character, but also the detail that the objects it comes with has too! If you are a huge fan of not just Resident Evil, but Ada Wong, this is very worth it!

She is amazing and has so much pose ability to her i would recommend this to anyone she is worth the buy

But quite fragile, the forearm broke while attempting to exchange the hands, but the figure is quite excellent the price point maybe a little too high, but its still pretty good.

This is my fourth Hot Toys Resident Evil Figure. I love all the others very much. Ada Wong VGM 21(Resident Evil 6 version) is my favorite of the others which is why I was really excited to purchase this one. It looks great but I'm a bit hindered by the small warning label on the front of the packaging. It warns about following assembly instructions carefully as if there is a risk for something to go wrong. Also I read in another review that the red dress may cause skin discoloration over time. I am a collector and don't ever open boxes to read instructions so I can't say exactly what the suggestion to avoiding this discoloration is. As a collector I don't have to worry about this because the figure dress comes packaged with protective plastic that prevents any issues with this.If you intend on keeping this figure unopened and sealed for display (fully boxed and sealed) only, then it's great and because that's how I will using it I love it. However, if you intend on taking it out of the box and setting it up on it's stand for display then just know that it will require some extent of care that goes beyond what I think is any good for an action figure.Who wants to deal with maintenance on an action figure? Not me for sure. I have many collectible figures in my collection (around 200) and the few that I have actually out of box and displayed require no more than a light dusting now and then which is how it should be IMO.So I guess for collectors this one is great. I just don't see it as a good fit for people that just want something cool to prop up on their action figure shelf. Too much to worry about.

The gift is very beautiful, the packing is safe, safe and fast to arrive, I liked it.

Few game characters actually fit the bill for being called an antihero, except for Miss Ada Wong. After Hot Toys announced this figure I was so excited and thought the wait was almost over, now after what feels like a decade she is released and like all Hot Toys is amazing. Almost. Lets take a look at what you will get.The BoxThe Box Ada comes in a now Hot Toys standard box for Resident Evil figures, the box itself is made out of thick cardboard and has an opening flap held together by magnets. It stands I think around 11-13 inches tall, maybe more. The art on the box is of course Ada. Most everything else is white. A nifty little thing that really sold me was the continued pattern from Ada's dress onto the box itself I didn't actually notice until I looked closely. Lift up the flap and you can see Ada and her weapons. Hot Toys packs for safety so you may have to remove a few things to get a better look at her.The FigureAda stands just slightly under 12 inches tall, and is quite amazingly detailed. The skin tone from the prototypes to the actual figure has changed some. It is now very slightly darker which looks in my opinion better. Ada has a truetype female figure thats slim, the great thing about this figure is that she is covered in a soft skin like plastic from her neck to her ankles and wrists. At first I was very worried about any dirt or oil residue clinging to the skin, this worry is based on previous experience with Hot Toys, It seems unfounded here. The face is quite nice if slightly off from what Ada's game model. The body has a near full range of motion despite the plastic over the joints. She has a double jointed neck at the top and the base, shoulders that can rotate at almost fully. she has two ab crunches and I believe a waist that can get slight rotation. Her knees are the problem to say the least, mine will not hold her knees at any sort of bend, it just bounces back into place and I don't want to risk ripping the skin. Her ankles are amazing though! Ada also has similar problems with her arms, on the bicep there is a joint that can rotate the arm from side to side. The problem again seems to be the elbows, the skin seems to just bounce it back into place hindering the overall ability to maintain a pose.Her toysAda is loaded with six weapons, seven hands for each weapon, her dress, the heels, the scarf, a pair of sunglasses(easily broken), a briefcase with its cargo, the Resident Evil stand with a nameplate and finally her cellphone.ConcernsAda is THIN and covered in a skin like plastic that will tear and stain if handled roughly. Her wrist pegs are also frail but so is pretty much every other Hot Toy's. her knees and elbows are also areas of concern as these places will see the most movement which ups the chance of a tear.To ConcludeIs Ada worth getting? Yes, Ada is amazing figure, any resident evil fan that likes her should buy her. Normally these figures have a limited stock before the already high price gets much worse. Handle with some level of caution and you should be fine.
