I almost never write reviews but I am so impressed by this product I can't help myself. First the cons: It seems to come shooting out of the can at a very high speed so feels a little out of control.-so have to move it around your hair very quickly. Second the scent, is too strong--but it dissipates very quickly. I have been in hospital at my husband's side for the last two weeks. I had just discovered this product not long before but remembered to bring it with me. I live at the hospital so have not been home. I have straight very fine (but shiny) hair --reddish medium brown--and as I get older, it is thinning out a bit unfortunately. I usually wash my hair daily, because if I don't, my bangs start looking stringy and greasy. With this product my bangs look freshly washed (I use it every other day or so)--I don't lose my shine, it does not look the least bit powdery--and two bonuses--it seems to take the shine and brightness off my white scalp so the thinning aspect of my hair is totally hidden. And, it gives my hair body and a bit of a bounce. Kind of hard to believe. I am on day 14 and my hair not only looks clean--it feels clean. I immediately liked it so much that that when I did wash my hair in the shower, once my hair is dry I gave it a quick spray and my hair immediately looks fuller and bouncier. Go figure. I tried the well-known product --a powder that you sprinkle on your scalp and this is soooo much better. The sprinkle on is so hard to control--it covers my scalp but when I brush my hair, the brush scrapes lines in the powder. So once I put it on, I cannot brush my hair any more. And I have to wash it out within one day. And up close it looks thick and powdery and takes away the shine--and is hard to put anywhere except the top of the head because you can't sprinkle it sideways. I felt that as long as I was not in bright light, it would not be too obvious. I don't see any reason to use any other product now that I have discovered this. I know this seems like a promotion--it is not. Each day when I use it, I am so impressed that I feel compelled to come write this review. So now I did!

The media could not be loaded. Sometimes when I am running late I skip washing my hair and use dry shampoo instead. It is a timer saver! When I first heard about dry shampoo the product description did not answer all my questions and now I know the answers.1. I got a dry shampoo that matches my hair color. Even though I got the brunette shampoo it still left white powder when I used it. The white powder disappeared after I worked the shampoo with my finger tips and then with the styling brush. You are supposed to work it in the same way as you would the wet shampoo under the shower. I did not see any powder on the vanity so there was no "dirt" I had to clean up after using the shampoo. My hair feels different compared to the texture it has after I wash it with the wet shampoo. It feels "pooffier", this is not bad just different.2. My hairdresser told me not to use the dry shampoo more than twice a week and never two days in a row. Dry shampoo works by soaking up the oil in your hair and scalp. Having some oil on the scalp is normal and healthy. If there is not enough oil from dry shampoo over-use the skin and hair follicles can become irritated and lead to problems.3. I only use dry shampoo on dry hair. If you just washed your hair, my hairdresser said, dry it thoroughly before applying dry shampoo. Even on clean hair the dry shampoo adds volume although this volume does not last all day.4. I asked her if the dry shampoo can cause dandruff and she said no. Dandruff is caused by an inflammatory reaction of the skin to the natural yeast that lives on the scalp (this is called seborrhea dermatitis) and a dry shampoo has no effect on this condition.Ali Julia review

Friends raved about this dry shampoo and I'm glad I listened. I've tried lots of dry shampoos out there, from the cheap ones to the expensive ones like Bumble & Bumble. This is my favorite of all. My only complaint is the tint residue. I've noticed if I scratch my head or wipe my face off after I used this, I find that dark brown color has stuck to my skin. It's not visible on the skin, but after using facial toner on a cotton ball, the cotton ball has some darkness where I've wiped around my scalp or near my ears. I put a white shirt on right after using this and noticed I had some streaks from where the spray had hit my hand and my hand went through the sleeve. It wiped off and didn't leave a mark, but just a warning to be careful what you're wearing when you spray. I still like this shampoo enough to keep using it. It does the best job of making my hair look clean. Usually when I'm using dry shampoo I put my hair in a pony tail because it's gone flat, but this shampoo gives it enough body and fluff that I can actually leave it down.

So I bought the brunette quite by accident, as I had frequently used a regular dry shampoo, now, this is the second time I've ordered it. One can usually lasts me few months, I have extra-fine [fading] dark red hair, and I was looking for an alternative to daily shampooing.Used it on both head and beard, now that I've shaved my head, I mostly just use it on my beard a couple of times a week. (Occasionally I use it on my scalp - since soap is much too harsh).But, whether you are using a color solution or regular, this a handy item to have (man or woman), especially if there are times you're on the go & you just don't have the time or inclination to wet wash your hair, like after I've been out all night, and people just show up at my door! (that happened)Keep it with your toiletries, and/or a to-go bag (if you travel frequently as I used to do), a useful and convenient [wet] hair washing solution.
