buy it if you do not care the least bit about the design and things promised in the adverts
First of all, it has glitches here and there, but the irritating part is apps sometimes lag, and have hung a few times in just a week. Battery doesn't hold up for more than a day. I had a phone with 4000 mAh (Realme X) and it went way ahead compared to this phone. So much for the AI. WiFi reception is really really bad and the phone goes into airplane mode in the middle of a call sometimes. Camera is really very bad for the price, you can get a much better camera (even if it is not a triple camera) with Huawei or similar brands at around £300. My last phone was realme X (half the price and no notch) and way better camera. 48MP is only for video and not for stills, so marketing there is deceiving. The user interface is okay. Nothing bad or innovate there. The finger print sensor is so hard to use because of the thick sheild, which makes you think, why did the company go for a fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone burried in the shield where the finger is hard to reach and the sensor misses out on it 80% of the time so much so that after 2 days you stop using it altogether and stick to face recognition? (when in the same price point you are getting a fingerprint sensor on the phone screen? - can anyone explain me the logic here?) and here we come to the next point, that is the facial recognition. I don't know whether the problem here is the code or the camera (too narrow angle for the front camera lens ?) that it doesn't recognise my face a lot of times when the phone is mederately close. Other phones seem to do that. coming to the extra battery and speaker module - all fine - and for the size i like the speaker quality, i was expecting more shrill but okay. But the material quality. I get the limitation on the phone with the thick shield, (although colours could have been added) but the quality of metal and plastic on the case of the speakers is below mediocre quality. Don't get me wrong, it is sturdy, and reliable when it comes to holding up. But having some experience with manufacturing of such cases I know that the finish the base material and the choice of colour they have applied has just been from the perspective of cost cutting and nothing else. So it makes me come to the point that I definitely paid more for the speaker module for sure. It is not worth more than £20. you can tell the material by the smell of it, it smells of cheap (although new and not reused) plastic that has been given no finish or texture or even the slightest attention, just to cut costs. Why i am saying this? because in today's time, i'm never going to buy another product from a company that reflects such design values.Just understand beyond everything, note what is lied about in marketing -1) Battery is mediocre, it doesn't last more than a day2) there are glitches and hangs3) the camera is not 48MP for stills and it is bad anyway, and there is a notch4) it doesn't look good5) the extended module battery and speakers are bad manufacturing and material quality and smell bad tooThis is a sub-standard product in today's phone market and not worth buying. i regret buying this. do not buy!I am so not taking this phone underwater, totally don't trust their claim on IP68 rating.I'll use it for a year and get a new phone.I miss my old phone, wish I had not lost it

Teething Troubles
What a frustrating phone. I was attracted by a few key things: the ruggedness, big battery and the potential of the camera, but the choice between this and its main competitor devices largely came down to little things in the specs.Right from the off three have been problems. First it took a lot of messing about to get the homescreen vaguely usable (the installed Launcher3 launcher app is dreadful), and switching to something like Nova (plus some others I tried) seemed to impair some device functions. The prime example here is bluetooth - only once have I been able to get notifications on my smartwatch, and that I suspect was only because I'd just gone into the relevant app and forced a bluetooth connection. There's no pushing out of background notifications at all. So, one of the key factors that decided the choice basically doesn't work. Now we come to SMS. Twice in the last 24 hours I have sat waiting for a message I know is imminent only to not get anything. I've even tried switching message apps. Nada. I finally managed it by turning wifi on and getting the message resent. That's not much use when out and about. Not being able to receive texts is an absolute deal breaker. This is a basic phone function. The phone also seems to have a mind of its own, randomly deciding to default my keyboard back to the standard Google one, and to reset various app permissions. Every time I want to use LastPass for instance I have to go back into settings and give it permission to autofill. I even had one instance where it reset the default launcher app, which caused no end of confusion. At one point I got so desperate that I went back to Launcher3 to see if submitting to that pile of junk as my launher sorted things out. It didn't.Ultimately I'm left with a phone that doesn't connect via bluetooth and doesn't seem capable of receiving text messages. Oh, did I mention that it won't charge wirelessly either ? I bought two Anker wireless chargers to use with the phone - one a pad and one a stand, and neither are supplying charge to the phone. My old Pixel 2 which I left to die and which isn't to my knowledge chargeable wirelessly, managed to somehow pick up enough charge to turn on, so I know it's not the chargers. In fairness, there are some good things about this phone - I'm getting 4-5 days of normal use out of one (wired)charge, and that would obviously increase when I'm out in the hills with airplane mode on - a key benefit. The ruggedness seems good and certainly sufficient for me, as someone who generally looks after their phone. The speaker module also produces a decent sound. It gets 2 stars for these things only.So my conclusion is that the headline features of the phone (battery, rugged, modules etc) are all there and good, but at the expense of basic phone functionality working properly. This one is going back.

No headphones. But radio needs them
So far. So good.Easy to use. Does work fast. Only issue is that you need to have headphones plugged in to use the installed FM radio. It doesn't have a socket for headphones

Avoid at all costs
The first time I used it whilst raining meant the phone got water in it.All the SIM slot and charging holes were closed, but still water got in. My old Samsung never had this problem.Constant messages appearing, screen has a mind of its own.Very poor camera, considerably worse than my S4Battery isnt great.Speakers are goodExternal battery not water proof.
