Very high quality camera! Well built and very well assembled. Plug and play with my hikvision nvr.Also supports audio and does require separate cable for audio transmission.Comes with mounting plate and nice screws!

HIKVISION SELLS THIS CAMERA ALL OVER THE WORLD. YET, BECAUSE I BOUGHT IT FROM AMAZON they would not provide technical support. With that said and after watching YOUTUBE it turns out all I needed to do was turn ONVIF On in the cameras firmware to be recognized by my NVR. THUS, the reason why I am giving a FULL disappointment on your site. Hikvision support Sucks!!!

This review is for HikVision DS-2CD2523G0-IS Mini Dome Camera. The size and design of this camera was the attraction for me as it appeared to be just the camera profile I had been looking for. Small, low price, IP and Poe capable. The down side, was advertised for Windows OS. At $35 I decided to gamble. My OS system is Raspberry Pi5/8g running Zoneminder v1.36.33 on Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) currently running 12 IP/Poe cameras set to 2fps, two of which are PTZ. I wanted this HikVision camera to visually monitor air temperature and water pressure gauges in my well house. To config the HikVison, I powered up a stand alone LinkSys WRT54GS V7.2 router which was on 192.168.1.0 lan. I then attached via Ethernet cable from port 1 on router to a Dell Optiplex 780 computer running Ubuntu 22.04 which I removed from main system for this task. On computer, typing terminal command, ip -a showed router assign computer 192.168.1.104 address. Next, I attached Ethernet cable between camera and port2 on router and powered up the Hikvision camera. On computer, using terminal command, ping 192.168.1.64 indicated a live active address. From here, on computer, I put the 192.168.1.64 address in browser address bar and wella, the HikVision came to life. After completing password entries, I reconfigured camera for IP address that matched my overall security camera system. By the way, I ignored popup that instructed download of some .exe file. I put check in box to not ask again, hit OK then stopped download. Camera seems to function fine, I see no need for this .exe file for my particular use. Hope this expands the usefulness of this HikVision DS-2CD2523G0-IS camera to other non-Windows users. I may even pickup another one myself. *smile*

This is a really great dome camera that was extremely simple to setup and add to my existing network of cameras. The built in mic captures audio clearly, and the quality of the camera is perfect. Nightvision works well to create a clear image in the dark.Slimmer profile on this one, and the build quality is pretty top notch. Would take a beating outside for sure
