Omega 80266 Shaving Brush, Real Bristle

I just got back into shaving with a brush after 25 years. I just wanted a simple affordable brush to see if I liked it again. This did the trick, as it lathers well, is comfortable and rinses easy. A few loose bristles, but for the money that's no worry at all.

The stereotype for boar brushes is that they are stiff and scratchy. Not so...when broken in and wet, Omega boar brushes have a great combination of backbone and softness on the skin. They splay a little when pressed on the face, unlike synthetic brushes which tend to be springy. These are great latherers, whether using a hard soap or cream. I have a variety of badger and synthetic brushes and like some of them a lot, but every time I come back to an Omega boar I am reminded of just how awesome they are. Without a doubt, best bang for the buck.
