Great product
It worked for what I wanted, I wanted to put an iPad in this area of the car and it worked excellent, the magnet is very strong and never falls, it comes with several magnets to put on phones.

Wonderful
Got this to replace a similar product that occasionally came out of the CD slot when I pulled the phone off it. It's pretty much perfect. The magnet is just right, strong enough to keep the phone firmly in place, but not so strong that it pulls out the mount when you pull the phone away (like my old one).I love the easy to twist knob that you twist to secure the mount in the slot. Really helps you crank up the tension and keep it in the slot. One thing I'd like changed would be to have a longer neck between the magnet and the base of the mount so the phone is a bit closer to the driver, but it's not a big deal.

Very sturdy, the magnets that hold the phone are some of the best I have seen.
A while back I bought a phone holder for my car that I mounted to the air vents. Initially this worked fine, but as time progressed the vents/slats wore out and the whole structure started to become less stable. I purchased this item today and could not be happier, the way it is mounted is very secure. The phone sits onto the holder using a metal disc that is being held in place with some 3M automotive grade double sided tape. My wife asked if I didn't mind that the car radio display was obscured. Most of the functions of the car radio however are accessible through my steering wheel. While most of the time I use spotify that runs of my cell phone. In case I need to access anything on the radio, a simple swipe and the phone is in my lap making the display of the car radio fully accessible again.

Works with my set up ('14 Audi A6 with Pixel 3XL and Moment Case), pleased with build quality
Was looking for a solution to mount my phone, this one works pretty well for my set up albeit some adjustment was needed.I opted to use a CD slot solution since its 2021 and my CD slot has never been used this past decade. I've read horror stories of suction cup solutions leaving a mark on the dashboard and wanted to avoid blocking vents and using adhesives. I just needed something to hold my phone should I ever need to use the GPS.Build quality alone--I felt that I got my moneys worth. The product feels very solid and has a nice carbon fiber like texture on the mounting surface. It comes with 3 metal plates for mounting: a large rectangle plate (7cm long, 5cm wide), and two circular plates (3cm diameter and 4cm diameter[standard PopGrip size]). The product uses tension to secure itself into the CD slot by using a turn knob to control the distance between the rubber teeth. It feels pretty secure when locking into the CD slot. I tried jiggling the mount around and have pretty high confidence it won't fall out during use.Specific to the A6, I have the mount secured closer to the left side of the CD slot. I also need to point the mounting surface towards the steering wheel and placed the metal plate for mounting to the bottom right of my phone. This is necessary since the CD slot location will place the mount close to the gear stick when it's in park. The configuration puts the phone far enough away from the gear stick but does put the top of the phone (Pixel 3XL; 6.2 inches tall) near the bottom of the left-side center vent. It's a balance of avoiding the gear stick and avoiding the vents. In terms of magnet strength, I would say its pretty strong. However, if you use a phone case like I do (my Moment Case is approximately 3mm thick and the plate is placed inside of the case), it does reduce the strength of the hold a bit--not enough so the phone doesn't stay in place but I suspect it can potentially fall off if your car moves violently or experiences heavy vibrations in poor road conditions or off-roading. I have experienced some sliding/movement when I don't have the phone placed perfectly onto the surface mount.Update (2/16/2021): Retracting one star since after using it more, I do notice my phone sliding quite a bit. The magnet isn't quite strong enough if you are using a phone case. The product is nevertheless, still a solid buy, just not as exceptional as my initial impressions.

Displaying my phone as a GPS is officially less stressful!
So without sounding like an infomercial, I've always had trouble finding the perfect phone mount for my car. I tried window mounts, but they just get a little too in the way of my line of sight on the road. I bought one mount that locked into my CD slot that I don't use, and it worked out fantastically. But it was seated into a carriage that you had to locked in two different ways, and after a while it didn't lock as well, and the screwing around the ball started to thread, making it move all over the place. When it was time to replace, I wanted a CD slot, magnet seating, that provided wireless charging. Went to Best Buy at the time, maybe just a few months ago, and found all of that, but it was an air vent mount. Also it required adhesion of two bar magnets that were very thick. You couldn't get a good wireless charge out of it.Air vent mounts are crap, for multiple reasons. If you had to pick between window, CD slot, and air vent, the latter is your enemy. They never stick right, they put way too much stress on the plastic they attach to so they warp. I spent $60 on this charger from Best Buy, which as it turns out they don't even sell anymore. It's been so stressful making this thing work, and now it's at a point where the thing just continually falls out of the vent. It doesn't lock in very well no matter what I do.I decided I would be fine with foregoing the wireless charging, as long as I could have a CD slot that seats my device via magnet. The magnet on this device is very slim, so it doesn't get really get in the way of holding and using the device, and if you use wireless charging at home, you should be fine as long as you don't cover up the center of the phone where the Qi charging takes place. That does bring one thing I noticed about this unit, be very careful of placement. Because despite that these magnets are pretty strong, if your phone is too heavy, if you try to seat it horizontally, gravity's going to take over and push it down vertically. Having this current problem with my iPhone X. I placed the magnet in the upper center, away from where it wirelessly charges, and it's just too heavy to use horizontally. My Pixel 3 I placed the magnet lower center, and it's working fantastically.I do expect that the threading where you screw around the ball will get thrashed within a year, since it's just plastic, but time will tell. If it lasts a year, I think I'll probably gladly buy the same product again. This has really made my driving less stressful while using my phone as a GPS and otherwise.
