PelicanAir Travel Cases (Carry-on & Large Hard Case Luggage)

This is an excellent travel case and very durable. I did have one problem. After I opened the box and checked the case, I discovered that the 3 mesh interior packing bags were missing. I contacted Pelican and advised them of my problem. They said that since I bought the product from Amazon I would have to call them ( Amazon) to resolve the problem. In other words I asked Pelican if I could purchase the bags separately and they said no. I then called Amazon who indicated my options were to return the travel case and order a new one or do without the bags and they would give me an additional 10% discount. The bag was a X-mas present for my daughter who needed it for travel 2 days after X-mas, so I took the discount as I had no real other choice.

I’ve searched for years to find a truly heavy-duty suitcase. The search is over. This is hands down the best one for the money. I’ve seen pelican cases used for equipment for years now and always been blown away by the quality and simplicity. Now I can finally get the same quality for my luggage.Note* I did spring for the travel model containing mesh dividers etc and I regret having spent the extra money. They seem nice enough but they just aren't worth the amount that Pelican is adding. Do yourself a favor, buy the empty case and get third party luggage dividers.

I have a bunch of pelican gun cases and they work really well. Recently I decided to try this air case as a carryon. First, it worked great and is a solid option however there are a few drawbacks. First, they put the mounting hardware for the handle inside the case so you lose a bit of storage. Second the top handle is a little on the flimsy side and third the wheels are fixed and do not rotate. These issues make this case a good option for a weekend trip max so dont think you can fit a ton of stuff in here cuz the case is smaller than it looks. Anyway, I got a 1510 recently on sale and the extra room makes a difference. It is significantly heavier than this air version but it doesn’t bother me honestly.

This product is great as advertised but the price is a bit too high! I only buy it bcause i desperately needed it.

I travel frequently and my current luggage set is showing the wear and tear of the many years of abuse by the baggage handlers. I ordered the carry on size. I use that one the most and it has survived the best, because it is me taking care of it. This is a great product. I highly recommend this product to anyone that flies on a regular basis. The variety of colors available also make spotting your luggage quick and easy. My cats found the keys and were having a great time playing with them. Please hold shipment of a replacement set. I am good!!
