Parker Genuine Ox Horn Palm Lathering Shave Bowl

This is a great bowl for lathering. It is just the right size to hold in the palm of your hand. Mine is not plastic, it is definitely ox horn. if you get the thing too wet, it gives off an odor that would never come from plastic! After using this for a few weeks, I have found that there is no need for excess water in the bowl. Just load up the brush and swirl it in the bowl to make lather. When I'm done, I wipe out the bowl with a towel with no water. The bowl shines up and looks great, ready for the next use with no odors.

Great shaving bowl. Fits in the palm of my large paw nicely, it looks good and, well... it's a bowl and any bowl will do to get a good lather.

The media could not be loaded. This bowl is lighter than I expected and definitely not symmetrical. You can see on the lip where it’s thinner in some places and thicker in others but that aside the size is perfect for my hands and easy to hold onto. I like the subtle coloring and my bowl had no smell wether wet or dry. I wish there were a little more weight to it because when I lay my brush in the bowl it tips over. All in all this is a great shaving bowl and works well for me.

It is a beautiful looking shaving bowl. But it got a medium Crack right into he center of the bowl after only a month or less of using it. It was cleaned properly and still broke. It also is not the easiest to clean it leaves a residue on it when you clean it.

Love the feel of this bowl in the hand. The color on mine was also great, with light cream and dark brown coloring in a sort of striped appearance similar to the image.My bowl also immediately developed a crack my second time using it after it fell into my sink, which has a downward slope from the outer edge leading into the basin. It's not a steep drop. The crack is only on the outside the bowl, as if a layer of the horn tried to peel away. Not sure whether to leave it or try to smooth it out. The inside of the bowl is still fully intact.Overall I'd recommend if you are a cautious person.

I absolutely love this bowl for mixing my shaving cream. It fits into the palm of my hand nicely and is perfect w a badger hair brush to mix up my Deadnaught shaving cream. I've had several ceramic cups w handles,and stainless steel bowls and this beats them it all. Plus it's nice looking on the bathroom counter. Excellent product.

Works well. I can hold it in my hand easily to work up a lather. I’ve had it several months and condition is great. I dry it and store it after each use.

I’ve had mine for exactly 3 years... it is just now beginning to slightly delaminates as it should. People, this a heat-pressed bowl and I rinse clean and dry mine each time after use. I have dropped it... Look, I’m 74 and I drop everything, but this bowl fits my left palm perfectly, is exactly the right size for swirling up thick lather, it’s lite, quiet!, and takes drops into the sink or on the floor with a bounce! In fact, I’ve ordered a new one and it WON’T sit on the shelf as my other chipped and crack lovely, but useless, shaving mugs.
