Birch and Horse Hair Bakery Brush

The media could not be loaded. Extremely well-made. This is working wonders for my Pastry. Very happy with the quality and will probably buy another one so I have a spare. Not as large as a big pastry brush but perfect for small kitchen. It keeps the flour where I needed to be.

Bakery brushes are pratical, but extremely difficult to find, and when you find such a quality as this one then you keep it preciously and tell your friends who make home made bread and pasta too. I love the fact this brush is made of 100% natural materials, wood and horse hair. It has been minutiously made by disabled persones in Sweden and I love it even more because not only the product is respectful of yhe planet, but it helps also people to realize themselves through a great project that valorize them. They can be proud of themselves this useful and funtional object is real handcraft. I use it to sweep away the excedent of flour from my counter, from my dough, from my pasta cutters, etc. It can be washed carefully with a biodegradable dish soap before being well rinced. Let it dry flat. This brush will last forever with a minimum of care. The dimension is good. I posted a comparative size to give you an idea. There is a hole if you want to hang it. Great product.

The brush was too small for my needs. But customer was excellent!

I use this flour brush to... brush flour. It is perfect for dusting flour off of puff pastry and perfect for flouring when rolling pie dough. I hang it on a hook which I think keeps the bristles straight. Love it. It's a mini-luxury items for bakers.

I use this to brush off excess flour on bread and bannetons.

Purchased this for one of my Culinary Baking courses as I could find nothing like it in any of the restaurant supply stores locally. Great for dusting doughs of excess flour. All the other students and the professor (Chef) asked to borrow it. The Chef ended up purchasing one as he was impressed with its quality and size. A fixture in my Chef's Toolkit!
