I am a Mechanical Engineer and I must say this product has been Lean Engineered, that means the designers really did an outstanding job creating a Good product for a great price.Pros: The LED and Solar Arrays are good quality. Led's produce a light brighter than expected. Nice clean package, that looks good when mounted. Best of all, $30 for a really decent product that performs better than expected.Cons: The ABS plastic construction, is a less desirable, cheaper material that degrades faster than some more expensive injection molded plastics, especially in direct sunlight, but it will do the job for many years to come. The 10 ft cable is hard wired in, No Connector, which makes hiding the cable, or routing the cable through a hole, for a cleaner installation, difficult. The On/Off switch is on back of the Solar Panel, which would typically be mounted up high or on the roof, this makes turning the unit on and off difficult.Conclusion: Despite the Cons, this product is still a great value and I would definitely recommend it. For those shoppers that are more demanding I would suggest looking at a higher cost option. Thank You and Good Luck.

I bought this to provide supplemental light in a chicken coop during the winter months. It provides an additional 8-12 hours of light on a full charge.This keeps my chickens laying all year.

I put this up 2 years ago to light my American flag at night- haven’t had any issues with light or communists.

The install was very easy, positioned solar panel in direct sun, charges all day. It comes on dusk but then goes off after 2-3 hours. Not as advertised.

When I first received this light on Sept 4th, I felt it was a nice light for $30. It shined all night, every night for the first 25 days. The decent size light and solar panel shine up the yard nicely with 400 lumens of light at the beginning of the night. When I first reviewed this product I gave it 5 stars.After 6 hours the brightness would drop to about 200 by morning. Still, it was nice to see a light I can count on that shines all night. After about 25 days I noticed the light stopped shining the entire night. The light went out by 5 am, after 9-10 hours. After 2 months, the light was no longer coming on at full brightness. The light comes on at 1/2 brightness and is off after a few hours. I tried turning the unit off, but that stops it from charging. It warmed up in Vermont with High in the 70s & Lows in the 40s. The light worked perfectly again for about a week until temps dropped back down to 40s in days and 20s/30s during the night. The light stopped working. The Light does not seem to work below 40 degrees.I am wondering if it has an under-rated solar panel or if the batteries are dying after 2 months. Changing my rating to 3 out of 5 stars.

I love these lights, very helpful when there is no electricity.
