Wonderful travel palette!
So I LOVE this palette for many reasons. First, it's a great size for traveling. It would fit in a bag or purse easily. Heck, maybe even an oversized pocket. It's also great if you don't have a lot of desk space or just want to try out watercolors. Not too many colors gives you opportunities to learn color theory / color mixing.Second, the brush! I have a personal hate for waterbrushes that typically come in travel palettes or are marketed as travel waterbrushes. I just flat out do not like them, however a big reason why I wanted this palette was the fact that the brush is a regular brush (just a smaller handle).Third, no white. If you don't know much about watercolor or have never used watercolors before, you might be turned off by the fact that this palette has no white. However, for me this is a pro! In watercolor, you really don't use the white color. In mixing it does not make your colors lighter (makes them cloudy) and if you want to add white you would either leave that space empty or use gouache/acrylic/gel pen. White watercolor is transparent, so it wouldn't work like the other examples. Black is also not included (instead you get Payne's Grey). The mixing palette lid is pretty decent for mixing on the go. I don't really use the water wells on the sides, but it is nice that they are included. I was thinking of trying to cut up a sponge and place it in those spots!Really, the only cons I have for this palette is that the brush can be a little hard to get back into place (you really have to push it in) and the individual pans can be a little difficult to get out. Also, between the time of me buying this and the review, the price has gone up a few dollars. I bought mine for less than $12.

It's awesome
Great size, weight, durable. Been using the palette for years now. Had held up to even being driven over when it fell through the hole in my pocket that I didn't know I had. I see youtubers complaining all the time about student grade, it's student grade brand. Stfu and actually paint something. Then you'll see these paints are good. No, they aren't top shelf, but they manage quiet well for plein air & sketchbook practice. By time you're ready to upgrade to professional paints to sell quality work the palette will still be holding up as good as new and ready for you to refill with the top knoch daniel smith. Yes I recommend for anyone to buy for themselves or as a gift for others.

Great base option, quality paint and brush
Pros:- extremely creamy and easily rewet- colorfast pigments- good travel size- high quality dense brush- snaps tightly- pans are labelsCons:- creamy consistency means a little longer to dry- several of the colors are too similar- the set only fits pans from this brand, and this brand doesn’t appear to sell empty pans, which makes it difficult to reuse the palette when empty or even change out colors by personal preference- tight snap means any addition (even a single small scrap of paper) will prevent the set from closing- can’t figure out how to snap the bottom piece out of the set

Good colors
This is the perfect travel palette. I first saw this paint set in action on You tube channel Watercolor artist Christian Koivumaa. He painted a few leaves and a rock and it looked great. I like the quality of the plastic. The little brush is really nice.

Good mixing set
Has both a warm and cool mixing set of red/blue/yellow so the colors are very versatile. Super slim packaging that's easy to slip into a purse or pocket. Colors are very vibrant and wet easily.

Good colors
This is my first experience with watercolors(other than in 3rd grade) and they are beautiful. Good watercolor paper helps too.
