Welcome to the Next-Gen.
Forza Motorsport 5 is the definition of next-gen, at least as far as launch games go. It's exhilarating, thrilling, frustrating, intense, irritating, and most of all, fun. Forza 5 is a game that gets your emotions pumped on every level, and to me, that's a great game. When it comes to Forza, I like to feel engaged. I like to feel the sense of speed, danger, and competition. That's what this game delivers. The new cloud powered AI means that driving/racing is never the same. The AI is unpredictable, which is what makes racing that much more intense. In my time with Forza, I've realized that there are a lot of jerks racing, since the AI is based off actual human players. That's okay though, because this makes for a more immersive experience, even if it can get frustrating every now and then.Forza 5 runs at a native 1080p (60fps) and looks gorgeous. I haven't played a Forza game since Forza 2 on the Xbox 360, so it's a huge upgrade to my eyes. Apart from looks, Forza 5 sounds like a true racer. Sound production is top notch, and Turn 10 really knows how to deliver with roaring engines, screeching corners, and banging impacts. It's a true Next-Gen experience that should be experienced by any racing fan. There are things I want to mention with Forza 5. A lot of people are saying that the game has been stripped of a lot, and although I agree, I haven't played this series since the 2nd one. Also, I do not like the fact that Turn 10 was charging a ridiculous amount of money for car DLC. In my opinion, that's absolutely ridiculous, especially since we paid $60 for the game, but I'm almost certain that Turn 10 will start releasing car packs for free. As gamers, we just need to be a little patient and keep voicing our opinion. Don't let this stop you from experiencing Forza 5 though, because this is a beauty that shouldn't be dismissed.

Don't understand the hate
As someone who has no games to compare this to (never played many racing games or any of the Forza's), this game is fantastic. Most of the complaints I see are about # of cars or tracks. Personally, 200+ cars with more promised in DLC is more than enough, and the tracks have variations that keep you on your toes.As for the complaints about "magnetization being shoved down your throat," I think those people should stop being ridiculous and actually play the game. After only a few days of playing and purchasing about 700,000CR worth of cars and upgrades, I'm still at almost 1.5M CR, and that's not with the 2x VIP boost. Even the most expensive cars in the game are achievable; there's nothing so far out of your reach that you need to buy it.As for the game itself, the driving is responsive and thrilling and the achievement you feel beating a rival or getting a new best time is palpable. It looks beautiful, takes full use of the trigger vibration of the Xbox One controller, and generally feels excellent. Would definitely recommend getting this game if you can.

Amazing Launch Title, Day One a Gimmick
This game is amazing. The graphics, the game play, the drivatars (discussed later). Just about everything about it is great.I like that with Forza it is very easy to earn credits to accumulate more cars and upgrades. It always felt in Gran Turismo that it took so long (especially since you had to take those very tedious driving tests). This game just gets straight to the point. The graphics are amazing. The best thing I have seen on the Xbox One so far (I also own BF4 and DR3). Whenever you finish a race it shows you all angles of your car so you can see the damage. You can even see the paint from other cars you hit. It isn't perfect (I flipped a car early on and it looked just as damaged as me rear ending my friend's car) but it certainly is a very cool addition. The game really takes advantage of the rumble triggers of the new controller. Whenever you drive on the hazard line on the side of the road it legitimately feels just like it does when you drive on it in real life. It also gives me that real life feeling of when you lose traction. My friend and I play online a lot and as you play Forza creates a "drivatar" that mimics your tendencies. The more you play the more the drivatar learns. Instead of racing against AI cars you are actually racing against other people's drivatars. Every day you login you actually earn the credits that your drivatar won for you while you were away and it was racing. That means you get to buy more cars and more upgrades just for logging in (assuming your drivatar was used). What I don't like about the game is that if you upgrade your car to a new class by buying parts (e.g. Class B to Class A) you can not reverse this without paying to downgrade it and then paying to upgrade it again. This prevents you from being able to race your car in different class races. I feel like if you have the parts you should be able to tune the car to whichever class you want. Small complaint considering how quickly you accumulate credits to be able to buy new cars in different classes. My main complaint only applies to the day one edition. I was excited to see that with the day one edition you received extra cars for the same price as the regular edition. The gimmick is that those cars only become available in the game. You still have to save credits to purchase them. I thought I was getting a leg up on others by starting with three extra cars but in reality I had to earn those just like any other car.In conclusion Forza is great and in my opinion the best game at launch. If you are into racing games you should really enjoy this. Similarly if you want to show off the graphics and surround sound of your next gen system this is the game to do it with.

Stunning Graphics
This game has the most beautiful racing graphics at the moment. It is a pleasure to play and will really shine when used to show off that new xbox one of yours. It is not all glory though, as the idiotic micro transactions are back and if not careful this game WILL nickel and dime you homelessness. Be Aware!!!It seems that all the launch titles of the Xbox one have these micro transactions, some more scandalous than others. Here's looking at you NBA 2K14, where it is impossible to advance without real money. All in all, you can play the game, and do quite a lot without spending a real dime. The warning is there for those who care, and who have little ones at home, who have discovered the wonders of advancing in the game by paying more. The one thing this game is the absolute best at, is how pretty it looks, and how much "next Gen" it feels.
