Needs to come with a "Cam walkers for dummies" guide
Five weeks into a fractured fibula, I got permission to use a cam walker boot along with crutches to help with mobility.I chose this short one because the fracture is lower down my leg, and I didn't want too much extra weight to move around with.I didn't have anyone to help me figure it out, and the instructions it came with were for a different model. Their customer service replied quickly and promised much, but failed to deliver a pdf version. They said it was much the same as shown in the instructions I received. Ten minutes into "Place wrapped foot into the walker, and the malleoli axis centers to bilateral upright before removing the plastic covers from upright and stick to foam liner" - I gave that up.I worked it out with some help from online YouTube videos, but there is a little rectangular part in a plastic bag that I still have no idea where it goes. I'm just hoping it's nothing too important. The boot itself seems to be working, and I'm no longer hopping on one leg, but limping on two with the crutches. The rounded bottom helps with the walking motion, and the treads make sure I don't slip. Understandably it makes your leg hot, but that's better than hopping. This model has a velcro closing liner across your toes and instep, and one at the top of the boot across your shin. Then it has three straps to hold everything together. The top strap also hooks up with the upper velcro liner. The velcro is medical grade and you can hear that when you rip it open. There's no way to get out of this boot quietly. It comes with extra pads if you need them, and as added cushioning, there's a push button pump that inflates air cells in the liner to make sure you get a snug fit.It works on either leg, and fits big. I wear a size 8.5 shoe, but the size small that fits women's 6-8 works for me with a bit of wiggle room. When you're dealing with broken bones you need to have clear instructions on products like these to ensure you don't cause further damage by not understanding how to make the proper adjustments. One star off for not providing that.Edit: After a month of constant use, the velcro on the inner lining stopped worked effectively - but that said, I was using it a lot, and this could be regular wear and tear. I contacted the seller and they replaced the boot without being asked. One star back on for customer service.

Perfect fit for anyone - Made well and comfortable fit
This is a perfect CAM walker for anyone. Do not be afraid to order the size the chart recommends according to your shoe size. This walker fits me regardless if I have severe swelling or not and in my case that is a wide range. I find this walker to be a reasonable weight. It's not the heaviest I've encountered but it is the most comfortable of the CAM walkers I've used. It's made very well, comes with plenty of extra pads for comfort (use them to protect against the hard surfaces or to fill for a better fit) and the air valve is made very well. Simple to inflate and deflate. A quality CAM walker for a fraction of the price a medical supply company would charge you or your insurance for the exact same product. I evaluated all of the CAM walkers Amazon offered and after careful consideration, this is the product I chose. I am very glad I did.

Works great, lasted through 3 days of 25k steps with a grade 2 sprain!
Grade 2 ankle sprain a week before a trip to Disneyland landed me in a predicament. Found this boot online and opted to try it instead of a wheelchair! I ordered a size small for a size 8.5 women shoe (based on a couple recommendations from others to size down) and it fits great. My giant calf makes the upper velcro part slightly off center but I made it work. The boot itself is sturdy, it is not too heavy to walk around in thankfully, and holds my foot and ankle really snug and secure especially with the air pump to inflate it a little. I walked 25,000+steps each day of my trip in 80+degree weather, the padding wicked moisture surprisingly well and didn't leave me a sweaty mess. It was easy to maneuver around, protected my injury, and overall made my trip actually enjoyable. The extra padding pieces may come in handy for others, I didn't need them. I didn't notice any discomfort in any spots from rubbing or lack of padding. The boot is great! If it helped me to walk 75,000 steps in 3 days with a nasty ankle sprain that's the best recommendation I can think of.
