Works well
Bought for eastern European countryside. Works good so far and is a real improvement compared to mobile phone reception. While mobile phone is able to get unstable 4G only in some spots this one has pretty reliable reception. Didn't need any manual setup for mobile provider. Just inserted sim card and it automatically configured everything.Admin page allows to change wifi settings and admin user& password as well as send and receive sms. No ability to run USSD commands which is fine in my case.Modem has mini USB input but actually it seems that 5V is not enough to power it. Outlet is required

Bad speeds unreliable
I was getting bad internet speeds using this in access point mode. Eventually internet stopped working altogether. I replaced it with a ubiquity access point which had a nice setup mobile app, and now I have sames equal to an ethernet connection! Such a night and day difference. I see no reason to get this device, ever.

It works, and it works pretty well, once you figure out how to configure it..
I looked to try to buy a US-made, weatherproof, cellular wifi router, and the only companies I could find were building super nice, enterprise-class devices only. They wanted over $1000 for the cheapest device they offered. For my usage (setup some security cameras temporarily on my lot while home construction is underway) it was way more than I wanted to pay. So I decided to roll the dice on this Chinese unit instead for around $89. The packaging wasn't great, the instructions suffered from the typical grammar and other errors we've come to expect with Chinese electronics, but I have to say that once I got it configured and setup with my AT&T SIM card (Configure the APN to use 'broadband' in the router setup web page!!) it has worked really well! Easy to mount on a pole on my property. Setup my Eufy cams to talk to it, and I have been able to monitor the property remotely with no issues. If you don't mind the limitations I mentioned above, this is a pretty solid option for the money.

Unbelievable affordable 4G WiFi Router Antenna!
I can't believe what a GREAT signal this little antenna gets from on top of a 20' piece of pipe! Five SOLID bars. All I had to buy was a longer Cat6 cable to reach inside the building, now I have WiFi all over 4 acres out in the country 10 miles from town, and everywhere inside my steel building. The cell service here was pitiful on the ground, and I could not send or receive calls inside the building before. Now my headaches are over. It took me less than 20 minutes to set it up and connect it, piece of cake. I HIGHLY recommend it. I use a prepaid T-Mobile account (not affiliated in any way).

Working well outdoors in 100°F heat.
Works on T-Mobile in the United States.Working outside in direct sunlight at 100°F temperatures.Sometimes loses data connectivity. Power reboot with programmable timer switch 2-4 times a day keeps stable data connection 24/7. 3-4G cell speed is adequate

Don't waste your time
Sorry to say, this router is junk and didn't work with t-mobile even after numerous emails back and forth to CS, that ultimately couldn't help with anything. The firmware (which hasn't been updated since 2000) had a bug that didn't allow downloading of detailed logs from the device, and CS could only help if they got those logs. I spent days explaining that problem to a CS that barely understood English, but eventually threw in the towel and got a gl-inet router that worked perfectly the minute I plugged it in. I wasted my time so you don't have to.

Missing many features.
The advantage of this device is that is cheap. It is also pretty much and plug&play: Insert sim card, connect network cable and POE adapter and you have internet. But that's where it ends. The software is where it falls short. The be able to get the most of your 4G or 5G modem, you really need to be able to tinker with the settings. This device lacks any sort of advanced configuration options. The most you can do is set the name and password of the built in Wi-Fi.Other 4G/5G modems include options for band aggregation, band locking, TTL, IMEI, AT Commands, etc. Those are features that are incredibly useful in maximizing your network speed, avoiding throttling, or getting around your ISP trying to force you to use their device (which cannot be mounted outside where the signal is actually decent).Because of this, this device cannot made to work with "Home Internet" sim cards, "Tablet" sim cards, or "Phone" sim cards. You will need to specifically get a "hotspot" or "data" sim card - which will be subject to a data cap and expensive overages. (If you have tethering on your phone plan, you may be able to use your phone sim in this device until you hit the tethering data limit.)If you just need to get a device online in a remote location and don't require a lot of speed or data, it can work.If you're hoping to use this for home or business internet, it lacks all the features you'll find yourself wanting/needing.You're better off spending more money elsewhere to buy a decent 5G modem with software that does more the just the bare minimum.
