Volkswagen Door Harness - 1K5-971-120H

I've had the electronics go out in both my driver and passenger-side doors multiple times in the past. Being out of warranty (even though there's a TSB about this problem), I wasn't going to pay what the dealer was asking to fix it. I took the outer skin off the doors and soldered the wires back together more than once, only to have them fray and snap again later. It's always the thicker orange and brown wires.These are the new style harnesses, with a longer rubber boot. It'll take a few hours per door to replace them, and you're taking a lot apart to get there, but it would have been $900 at the trusted local repair shop, so I did it myself. I haven't had any problem since replacing them both, and now the windows remember their auto up/down settings again, a feature I'd almost forgotten the car had, since it'd been broken for so long.

Harness was exactly as advertised. Everything lined up, no split or cracked wires found. Shipping was reasonable. Replaced the old harness with the new one today and it worked perfect! It was a little tight where the harness actually runs from the door and enters the boot, but the wires in the boot themselves are much longer than the old harness. I also contacted the seller before I purchased and they were very polite! Highly recommend and will do more business with seller in future.

This harness matched the original but the tie straps that are used to secure in place we're off slightly. Was not able to secure harness until I removed these tabs and installed new ones to match location based on original part.Overall, the part met my expectations.

I have been getting a number of odd error codes for a while and my sun roof would randomly activate. Some research on the internet pointed to the drivers door wiring harness. Sure enough, replaced the harness and all the problems went away. Not a hard job to replace but a million screws to take out, make sure to watch a video or look at a diagram to be able to find all the little buggers.

This was supposed to be the longer harness for the VW and it was not. It was the same harness that I already had. That was too small. Therefore it didn't last very long

Good product with a great fit. All of the connectors are correct and each portion of the harness was the correct length. I had lost power to the speakers in the driver door, and began losing power to the switches. This fixed all of that and there are plenty of articles online referencing the procedure to replace this. This fit my 2006 Jetta TDI, but ask the seller first to make sure it fits your vehicle. They responded to me quickly (about 20 minutes).

My son wasted an entire afternoon disassembling the driver's side door only to discover the harness shipped was for the front passenger door, NOT the driver's side door, as was described. This harness does not have the wiring to control the other doors. Since the harness for the passenger door needs replacing, too, we will use it, but that was NOT what we paid for or wanted!

This is what you need if you have a 2005-06 vw jetta. VW made the factory harness a little short and with years it starts to tear apart, that's why the buttons on the driver side won't work at times. so I bought this set and it fitted just right everything works perfect and it's longer to prevent from tearing.
