Somehow, I was sent a unit that was previously installed, sent pics along with my desire to receive a new one, as that is what I had paid for. Refunded immediately, and asked if I would buy again from them. No hassles at all, refunded and asked, no return RMA, no restock fee, nothing besides great service. Used the one I had received as a template for an amp rack in my trunk, got the new one today. Will update review ASAP, can't wait for a day above 38 degrees to finalize wiring.Also, the person who stated that "connectors do not connect", are you a fish or amputee? This is 2 RCAs and 3 14ga wires! Wiring is incredibly easy, not much dexterity needed either. Must be a competitor, if not definitely needs some physical therapy, . Not rocket surgery as anyone can do this within 30 minutes with zero experience.Looking forward to updating asap with sound comments, so many positive reviews can't be a fluke.EDIT-changed to 5 stars, after years of car audio experience I gotta say that along with replacement speakers plus an amp and sub setup this is the best, very affordable way to make an OEM system sound great! Take your time to tune it, that is the trickiest part of installation, the connections are simple and already there if you have an amp and sub. I was seriously impressed with the results achieved from the price point, still am. Bang for the buck is unbeatable, there are other models of the same product, I chose this one because the remote has both gain and frequency adjustments, super useful.

As soon as I installed and turned it on, you could hear the unique sound of my car. The bass is loud and clear, and everything else is just balanced. The EQ was flat, and it sounded perfect. I recommend it 100%.

For those who need the user manual, I could not find it online so I scanned it for troubleshooting purposes.This device works great as bass restoration processor.The most important factor to know (for those who love deep low bass) is that the EP1200x sweep knob goes from 35-80hz, whereas the EP1600xPro sweep knob goes from 27-63Hz.The second most important factor to know about EP1200x is that it has a HPF on the bass knob 35-80hz, and always rolls off frequencies below 35hz (unless you completely unplug the bass knob).

I have an Epicenter in my main car. Love it.I bought this for my single cab truck that has one 10-in sub in a shallow box. I can't tell you how much this increased the bass level, tone, the control knob is great, and my one 10-in Skar shallow mount sub shakes the truck now.

I am impressed. Incredible, the bass is clear. I have been looking for a long time...... I recommend them...

Item arrived in excellent shape but seems defective.There is some added rumble but it sounds horrible.Tried al settings and does not improve the sound.I also have the real AudioControl Epicenter (without remote),I picked up this Blaupunkt to use with it’s remote, but the output is just bad…Don’t waste your time and money, no worth the effort.

It works for some older stuff with the low end cut off. The sweep and adjustments barely seem to make any difference. BUT...it makes modern music sound like garbage. It needs a bypass switch. Instead i have to route an extra rca cable and 2 y splitters and mcguyver a rca switch and i also have to have an extra bass knob installed. Would be easier if it had a bypass!
