Probably not; getting the penis through the inner sleeve is challenging requiring the full use of both hands, forefingers and thumbs. That said, once that's accomplished, it works. A dab of surgical lubricant can help facilitate things.

Is there an extension tube between the tip and drainage bag

I don't recall, mainly because I have only used it once, that was a year ago.. The whole thing reminds me of something out of the 1950's. I found a more practical solution in the Coloplast Freedom Catheter. This uses a typical drainage bag attached to the leg with velcro straps. The difference is at the connection point. Instead of a heavy rubber "boot" that fits over the penis the Coloplast device uses a thin disposable latex sheath, much like a prophylactic. It is available in several sizes. The tip has a resevoir with a 1" tube at the tip. The sheath also has a slightly sticky inside to keep it in place on the penis. The sheath is unrolled on to the penis. There is a connector that is included with the kit, one end slips into the tube at the tip of the sheath, the other to a short piece of clear tubing. This tubing attaches to the collection bag. Urine flows directly from the tip of the sheath down the clear tube and into the collection bag. Removing the thing is easy. Just remove the connection tube from the sheath, roll the sheath up and throw it away. I empty the collection bag and then put about a quarter cup of alcohol or peroxide to sanitize the bag, flush with water. Done and done. I don't recall the company I got the thing from, but there are several companies selling this device. If you are interested I suggest you google "Coloplast catheter". Hope this helps.

This will be used for traveling in a car. how is it sitting for 2 to 4 hours until you find a bathroom?

I can only answer based on my fathers experience, of course, but I think 2 to 4 hours sitted won't be a problem. My father says that when he's walking or just stands for a longer time the urin acumulates faster in the leg bag, but when sitted, it does not so fast. When he goes to the cinema, for example, he does not worry about his condition útil the film is over and he has to walk away.

Is there a smaller size

As far as i can tell this is not like the one's i purchased off another site that have the string in the back to adjust the jock strap or supporter portion. The one's with the string kinda like a show would lace but shorter to take up slack in the belt fit down to least a 30 inch waste. Hate to say it but i found that style ( although they look identical to these other then the back in middle ) on Ebay. Just search McGuire external catheter. Hope this helps.
