Works well
After a scare when a gas burner was left on without lighting purchased this. The great merit is that it is mains powered. Seems very sensitive and fast as it responded very quickly when similar happened.

Everyone Should Have One
Most people concentrate on Smoke or Carbon Monoxide Alarms ? These alarm'S 'DO NOT DETECT NATURAL GAS'My neighbours house caught alight due to a natural gas fire and it was too late for the smoke detectors to activate. The Energy Company should insist on everyone getting these as hardly no-one is aware they exist. The only problem with getting one is they have to fitted 300mm from the ceiling, and who has a socket to plug into uo there ? I tried to find the 10/15 year wireless ones but no luck.I'm an Electrician so fitted an extra socket to suit, if not, run an extension lead. You Should All Get 1 or 2 of these.

A very sensitive alarm
Easy to install and a loud piercing alarm which you could not miss. It is very sensitive and it has so far gone off whilst frying onions some 6 feet horizontally and 4 feet vertically away and when opening a hot oven door over 8 feet horizontally and 4 feet vertically away. There is no off or reset switch so if you are going to cut the plug off and hard wire it as I did make sure you use a switched outlet or it will mean turning off at the fuse or disconnecting it

Looks good.
I hope I never have to test it's functionality, but on testing it worked perfectly, it was easy to install. It's a nice size, not sure how sensitive it is or how long the battery life is

Too long to react
The media could not be loaded. Product is easy to use however it took 40 seconds in full blast open gas for it to react. If think that was way long cos sensor was exposed to direct gas.I could smell gas in next door room before the alarm gone off

Its role is just to scare you
It doesn't work. I bought two - one for the kitchen and one for the bedroom where the heating unit is. The one in the bedroom started to turn on the alarm for no reason several times, scaring me to death. Now when I plug it into the socket, the alarm sounds continuously like how would it detect gas. I put them both in the same room and one shows that it detects gas and the other one doesn't. Its role is only to scare you. In reality it doesn't detect anything. I would have given it 0 stars. I just lost my money because it's been more than a month since I bought it
