Great show piece or costume piece
This is a great value. It is ornately designed with high detail and looks great as a display piece or for renaissance festivals however; I would not try using this for anything other than a letter opener. It's not sturdy enough to use as a reliable weapon. Blade is also mostly dull so it serves the purpose of a letter opener very nicely. I also added authentic leather string to the scabbard to allow it to mount to a sword frog. Works perfectly.

It is awesome..
It is awesome ... not a real dagger , slightly short handle but feels good and is light weight, blade is sturdy and has a nice Finnish, came shaper but not at point, handle is plastic but still durable , overall is say it's a great buy , everyone who has seen it has thought it's cool and good , even some of the girls I hang with seem to like to play with it , just be repasable

Great prop dagger, not made for offensive use.
It's a good prop dagger, the blade is real metal but it's not sharp enough to cut through a Popeyes biscuit with a struggle. It can stab pretty nicely through an orange, it it's not sharp enough to slice one. It's dull enough to drag over your tongue or hold it between your teeth with the edges facing up and down. I suspect that the blade could be sharpened into a great cutter and slicer with little effort but I have yet to try this task. The hilt and scaber are beautiful but made of plastic. The weight is nice, and fits nicely in my hand.

My son loves it!
My son wanted a prop dagger for a renaissance cosplay and this was perfect. Its metal and looks/feels very real but isnt sharp on the edges or dangerously pointy on the end. It could do some damage if used inappropriately so its definitely not a toy but is perfect for a responsible older child’s costume prop!

Dagger
The dagger is solid and does not come sharpened, which I had this one sharpened and it is still in good condition. The handle is well attached. Of a very nice weight feels good in the grip of the hand. Would make a great gift. I am pleased.

I'm impressed
Considering the price, this exceeded my expectations. Cute box, totally displayable. Useable?? As a letter opener, totally! To stab someone? Well yes but you can do that with pencil too. Would it break if you banged it or poked something hard, probably. For the intention of purchase for display 5 stars! For letter opener 5 stars, giftable ? Absolutely 5 stars! Will buy again, everyone wanted one at the Christmas party. I bought 4 different types, all were a hit!

Perfect
Used this as a cake knife for a dragon Michalmas cake. Was exactly what I was looking for. Well made and crafted, sturdy, beautiful design. Great value.

California Prop 65 warning on box
This is a cool piece but I am annoyed that the Amazon product page doesn’t have the California Prop 65 warning on it to indicate it has harmful materials in it. The product page should indicate that like other products do. When I received the piece the box had the prop 65 label on it which made me wonder if I missed it on the page, but I didn’t, it’s simply not there. That would have certainly affected my decision in purchasing since this is going to be handled and it’s unknown what substance is in the piece. Is it formaldehyde? Cadmium? Lead? Something else? Something that is harmful if handled? Something that isn’t harmful if handled but is on the list, so the warning has to be there? Who knows. I will keep it since it’s only for a costume but I am a little bummed.
