3 lbs as compared to it competitors (upwards of 10+ lbs) and the 6-digit key code is easy to install
I carry a S&W 1911SC 45 caliber, 4.25" barrel with loaded 8-round magazine (flat bottom, no plastic butt cover on the mag) and it fits perfectly, through it is a very snug fit. It also leaves me room for another 8 round mag. When closed everything stays in place with no interior movement detected. The safe is very light.at 3.3 lbs as compared to it competitors (upwards of 10+ lbs) and the 6-digit key code is easy to install, just follow the directions. The combination lock has four buttons, 1,2,3 &4 so four to the sixth power = 4,096 possible combinations. Random entry is a very slim probability. I carry the safe in my back pack so it is perfect for me, small package with minimal extra weight. When entering the code to open the safe it beeps with each key entry, so if stealth is your thing when you are accessing your gun then this is not for you unless you want to use the backup key under those circumstances. The safe is constructed of steel and the seams and piano hinge are tight. It does not have a pressurized piston to automatically open the door once access is made which is no big deal for me. For my purposes, it is perfect for my everyday carry to work and bedtime use, and it a very good value.

I would give it a 3.
I would give it a 3.5 when i first opened the box it looked tough but once you open the safe it was a bit soft It will keep the your gun safe as long as they don't remove it from under the seat the cable needs to be attached to the safe so you insure it stays where you put it

good solid key safe
It's bigger and heavier than I expected even knowing the dimensions. It's good and solid. I couldn't imagine mounting it to a wall. It would have to go into studs but it's not wide enough to hit two studs. I set it on a short filing cabinet and am happy enough with it. It's a good capacity for us and solid enough for our purposes of managing all the keys for a business with multiple locations and several offices and locked cabinets in every office.

Locked but not loaded.
This lock box came closed and locked. The keys were absent or locked inside. The key pad didn't work because I suspect there were no batteries installed. The construction seemed flimsy and I could have pried it open if i hadn't chosen to return it immediately. It came in a huge box with little or no protective packaging. Very unhappy.Electronic Digital Gun Safe Security Box Keypad Lock Cable Cash Pistol Car Home

Mine does the job......and does it well with some minor mods.
I read the reviews posted here before purchasing. I wasn't placing a large gun in the case so i figured my LC9s would fit and it does very well. I wouldn't go much bigger though. A Beretta 92 F doesn't fit. As far as function it opens and closes as it should. The finish was slightly pitted probably from dust when spraying. I scraped the high spots off easily. That's okay, it's not for show. The case is some what slippery. The finish should be textured. I muffled the beeping by placing a piece of a Q-tip stick (1/2" long) in the hole and pushed it down until It hit the bottom of the beeper. I placed a dab of glue on it to keep it in place. You have to take it apart to do that. Not hard just remove the 2 screws on the inside. The only thing I didn't like was that you can't lift the lid with the key in place. It's too wide! You'll have to turn the key back a quarter turn and remove it then open the lid. That's not good when you're in a hurry. I can probably fix that by cutting the key narrower so it passes though the hole. I probably can muffle the latch with some felt. I think it's worth the money and it does what it's supposed to do right out of the box. I recommend it.

Heavy duty and easy to use and program security key
Heavy duty and easy to use and program security key. Bolted it to the wall in a closet and it is really secure. Lots of places for keys and room in the bottom for my extra garage / shop openers. So much room, I hung my combination locks in the back along with other pad locks I have. Great buy...

Super loose fit.
The media could not be loaded. Anyone with flat head screwdriver can pop this thing open. I’m mad I bought this piece of crap. This is meant to keep a firearm secure. I don’t feel my pistol will be secure in this thing.

Great product
I ordered this and it would not lock. I contacted the company and they sent out a replacement fast. This is a great little storage unit. Very secure and easy to assemble.
