Soothing and nice flavor
Soothing to the throat. Some reviewers don’t like the flavor, but I do. Yes, it has a little more natural/earthy taste, but it’s a lot better than sugary throat lozenges!

I thought a slippery elm lozenge was a slippery elm lozenge. Well dope slap me. I always would buy Thayer's and they tasted good from the second you put it in your mouth until it was completely dissolved or chewed. I got the regular standard flavor and also the maple flavor and I found them very helpful for coating my throat. I'm a professional entertainer as an actor and as a rock musician. I can't find them anymore so I tried this brand. The flavor is tangerine. For the first split second that's what it tastes like and that wouldn't be bad if it lasted but it doesn't. It quickly deteriorates into an extremely bitter tasting and unpalatable flavor that also tastes like some kind of chemicals combined with maybe something moldy. I opened them as soon as they came and popped a couple in my mouth so I probably can't return them although I will look into it. That also means I can't comment on if they are effective at protecting and coating ones throat to shield it from overuse that occurs in acting or rehearsing or singing or public speaking etc. They are almost like something you could use to play a joke on someone by making them try it, that's how bad they taste.
