Awesome quality
The media could not be loaded. Sound quality is amazing. Comes with cords for each mic. Carrying case is great. Worth it

Worked well in a studio setting.
took these to the studio and put them up agains a full day of drum recordings as soon as i got them. They worked out great! You're not going to get the sound of a $10,000 world class mic kit but you will get pro sound quality and a verity of useful mics. they offer a great sounding tone on drums and amps the only issue i ran in to was taht they seam to overdrive easily compared to a beta series or senhizers but with some skill they will sounds great in the studio and do outstanding in a live situation. if you need a drum kit and don't want to spend over $1000 to start this will work for anything you need it to.

Great mics for the price.
For the price, these mics are awesome. I was having a hard time getting my old kick drum mic to sound right, and this one was no-nonsense and sounded great right away. I use them in a small church for live sound - it doesn't need to be crisp and clear, but occasionally I record the tracks and find myself amazed how good these mics are. I like the drum clips, too - the hold the mics tightly to the drum and are adjustable for a little bit of placement. The drummer loves the mics and clips because of the compact size. I'd probably go without the mic cables, since I'm a cable snob - these really aren't that great to work with, but electrically, they work (they're now in my "spare" mic cable box).

Great kit! Clips are separate, so they won't break, and you get a set of cables, too!
So, this won't be a thorough review as I haven't actually used the mics yet. However, I will say why I was compelled to choose this kit over the others.Primarily, it's Shure, and you can't go wrong with a tried brand that has stood the test of time for decades. These mics all feel solid in my hand, and I instantly get the feeling that they are more than rugged and will last through dozens of gigs.Second, I liked that many of the clips weren't integrated with any mic. I read reviews on other brands where people reported that clips can break off. With this kit, should there be a problem, I can probably get another clip (but I doubt I'll actually have a problem).Third, I like that this kit also came with 15' cables, one for each mic. As a sound guy, I have a decent pile of cables, but I like having a dedicated set just for this kit. Oh, and included are a set of hook-and-loop cable ties featuring the Shure logo! Not only will the cables be neat and tidy in my snake bag (there's no place for them inside the zippered case), but also easily identifiable.Lastly, I really like the zippered case. It's slim, but has a TON of dense foam padding inside so I don't have to worry about my prized set of drum mics. The case it semi-rigid and very professional looking.Overall, even though I haven't yet used these mics, I have nothing but high hopes from a trusted brand and I know I won't be let down. The price you pay for what you get is a heck of a deal.

Best drum mics at this price point
The good:Build quality is great. These are real metal, and seem to be quite durable. The flip-lever locking mechanism makes for easy adjustment, and they stay where you put them.Rim clamps get a good, tight grip on the drums, and made from a decent, semi-flexible, rubbery plastic.Sound is more transparent than other mics at this price point. The bad:Sound is a little dull and boomy, and requires some EQ.Overall thoughts:These mics can give decent sound quality with a little tweaking. They aren't going to perform as well as an expensive set of studio-quality mics, but if money is tight, this is the best budget choice I have found in the sub-$500 range. I don't think I would go any cheaper than this for drum microphones, if you're debating between these and a cheaper set. Mics are definitely something you should view as an investment, both because they typically last a long time, and because they have such a huge impact on the quality of sound your audience hears.

Best bang for the buck, you won't be disappointed.
These mics are very much worth the price. I purchased them for live sound and could not be more happy. I was expecting to pay between $500 and $1000 for a decent set of drum mics but I took a chance on these because I had a tight budget. I've always trusted Shure mics as the gold standard when it comes to best quality for the price and I was not disjointed. I have been using a set of Audix mics for a long time with good results and I have to say that these are just as good or even a bit better for a lot less dough. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing kit but A bit of overkill
This is a great kit! my only gripe is there is nowhere to store your cables in the carry case. Be sure to get a hard case with this. I've found Condition 1 and pelican firearm cases are a great option for storing this stuff, in a safe, watertight and stackable box.As for usage, to be honest this rig is a bit of overkill for most applications. For 200 to 500 or so capacity rooms, You can easily get by and get great sound out of just 3 mics. Kick, one over head and one tom Mic. If you're on a budget you could get the 4 and 5 Mic kits for 200.00 less and not miss anything...That said its better to have the extra mics and not use them than need them and not have them. I like the versatility this rig gets you. It will pretty much cover any application from clubs, to outdoors to large festivals to studio.Ive also used the overheads for other applications like djembes, tamborines, etc.
