Great coverage, use a spatula
I use this product to seal the seams on my roof in my aluminum horse trailers. It works really well. It is best to purchase a plastic paint spatula, about 3 inches wide for application. I have tried various brushes and the spatula works the best. The gallon is a one time use so make sure you have all your products ready for application. It is not recommended for use later and does not keep that well.

Great Product
I know this is a great product from a prior use. I have not used this gallon yet.

Messy and also take your time.
I purchased this product for an RV with an aluminum roof. The product itself does work but make sure to follow these steps.1. Mix and keep mixingI used a paddle wheel and chucked to my drill. The gardener needs to mix well with this product otherwise the cure time takes forever.2. Use a drywall knife to spread. In the instructions they tell you to use a stiff brush to apply. I found using a drywall blade worked better. With a drywall blade you could more evenly coat the roof. Also using this method provides more visual appeal.3. Make sure to apply in when the weather is dry and warm outside. The curing time is determined by your weather if being applied outside. Personally I would say to make sure it is applied at over 60 degrees Fahrenheit.Other than that I am pleased with the product so far, but we will see how it reacts with the northern snow.

You Found The Winner!
The media could not be loaded. *SUMMER UPDATE* We camped in very hot temperatures this summer and I can attest to the thermal properties of this roof coating. Last summer I could not stand to touch the roof of the RV in full sun. I climbed on top of it barefoot while camping this summer with no issue. The inside ceiling of the RV was not hot to the touch nor was the exterior surface, even in extreme temperatures. No, this product isn't going to get your trailer interior temperature down 10 extra degrees, but it sure makes a difference when trying to navigate the roof and does not reflect like the old aluminum roof did making it much easier to see.If you have an aluminum roof, this is the product you want. I searched all over the internet and finally landed on Hengs. The lack of information online regarding this product almost kept me from buying it though. One comment somewhere deep in a forum convinced me it would work and let me tell you... THIS PRODUCT ROCKS.A few things to note:-This product is extremely sticky. Almost as sticky as windshield adhesive. Leave it out in the sun with the container sealed for a while and it will thin enough to paint on. I used a short bristle paint brush and it worked great to spread it.-Make sure you stir the entire container. If it seems thin at all, it's not mixed correctly. Get a heavy stirring stick (The hardware store one ain't going to cut it) and make sure this is fully integrated before applying.-The consistency will be thick and tacky, but should run off the end of your stirring stick.-The instructions say not to apply this thicker than 1/8". I found that it spreads down to about 1/32" and still provides coverage. There's a lot of room to work with this product as it will stand up on itself if you want it the full 1/8".-The manufacturer says that you will get 50 sq/ft out of a gallon. I did a 20x8' RV roof (160 sq/ft) at about 1/16" and still had a tiny bit to spare in the can.-This product has a finished gray color. Don't expect it to be white. Also, who cares? It's on the roof!-The manufacturer claims that this product helps shed heat, a claim which I will update on when the summer is over.-Be prepared to use all that you want from the can in about a week's time. With how quickly it was curing on the roof and on the rim of the can, the air inside the can was surely curing everything to the sides as well. I doubt that this product will store well and the manufacturer indicated on the phone that it has a shelf life of about one year.-You do not need to wear gloves when applying the product if you are even somewhat careful. I got a few drops on my hands and arms and had no burning or irritation whatsoever. That being said, it's one of the most difficult products I've ever had to get off of my hands. Windshield adhesive is still the worst.-The instructions say to remove all LOOSE sealant or debris on the roof and I would echo that recommendation. I did the best I could and got everything off that I could. I even spent quite a bit of time getting the really well adhered sealant off before I applied this product. Looking back, I would have left all of the really hard existing sealant as this product bonded to it extremely well. Get the loose stuff and call it prepped!-I ran this product over the edge of all of my roof vents and rooftop accessories just like I would with dicor. Because this product applies so thin, I don't think it will ever be a problem to remove those accessories later. A razor blade should be all that's needed to break the seal. I intend to follow up with a coat of dicor just in case. I'm a creature of habit and a skeptic to the core, what can I say!-I washed the entire roof with a mold and mildew remover made by StarBrite prior to applying this product to ensure that there was nothing organic left on the roof. I highly recommend this step. Hose the roof down, spray the mildew remover, use a shop brush to agitate it all, spray it off, let it dry.-I am the king of cheap and I am extremely pleased with this product's price and value-I would recommend this product to anyone with an aluminum roof that doesn't want to worry about leaks again!

old product
Product had a thick dried film on top and was old. Have used this product before so was disappointed in the seller. Needed to use it so did not return it. It was usable but did not go on as smooth as it would have had it been fresher.

Wont buy again
Stuff is horrible. Sent a liquid gallon in a cheesey super cheap box that was smashed up and taped together multiple times before making it to my house so of course the can was a ll smashed up. Once opened found the stuff to be thicker than molasses and wouldn't even drip out of the can when held upside down. Scrapped out and used a 12 inch putty knife to spread around, which to due a pop up tent trailer roof took 4 hours due to being so thick. Well 4 days later at or above the recommended temperature is still not dry and super tacky!

Awesome product!
This is exactly what is needed to seal a metal roof on a trailer or such. It was easy to work with and set up perfectly.
