I did a bit of research on getting a laptop mounting tray. For the price, this one has the best features. There are two large feet that keep the laptop secure and will not allow it to slide down. OK, that really didn't set this one apart from all the rest. So why do I like this laptop mounting tray so much? In addition to the large feet, there are bilateral (I'll call them) hands, on either side to keep the laptop more securely in place than any of the other laptop mounting trays in this price range. This is a very secure set up. I don't think this would work well if you are typing on the laptop itself, but I have a usb keyboard and mouse so it's working out very well. I'm seeing this a more of a permanent set up on my home desk. When I want to take the laptop with me, it is not as easy as a mounting tray without the "hands", but it only adds a few seconds to removing the laptop and given the added security of not having the laptop fall off, it is huge for me.

I was worried the side clips would be annoying or cheap, but they actually snapped in perfectly. I actually put them in on the wrong side without noticing at first, and they were easy to snap open and reverse. They fit on the tray really closely, at least out of the box the quality of the tray and it's pieces surprised me.Overall it does exactly what I wanted it to do. It had a bit of heft to it, which was perfect, as I put it on a Secret Lab Magnus monitor arm and that arm needs weight on it for use with the tension adjustment.I was also wondering how well that adjusting would work, but I found that i can put the tray wherever I want within the arm's range of motion and it can be adjusted to sit just right.Does what I wanted at a decent price, feel like it should last well.

I use this to hold a 2019 MacBook Pro 16". It fits fine and can easily accommodate larger laptops. It was easy to install to my monitor arm so no complaints and had all of the hardware needed. My only small gripe is the clamps that hold the laptop could be a little easier to pull in and out. They ratchet and then have a lock. They are quite stif that I do not need to lock them on mine. Your not going to mess up moving th tray around or anything but it does take 2 hands. As i said it's actually a very small gripe and once you are used to it the tray works perfectly fine. I am about to get another one and another arm to mount a wireless router on.

This is a high quality product that is exactly as advertised. It feels good (sturdy, strong, smooth), looks right (not too big, not too small), and securely holds my laptop, which was not cheap, in such a way that I feel confident that I can walk out of the room and not worry about it falling off no matter what orientation I have it in.The best part is that the customer service is outstanding! I had one small problem and, because I had to use an online fill in the blank form, thought I would never hear back from them (for the grammar police I know it should be "it"). Instead, within an hour or less they (it; the company) not only responded, but had my situation handled and corrected.I would highly recommend making a purchase from this company and no, I don't know anyone who works there and have nothing to do with the company other than making this purchase and dealing with its outstanding customer service.

Works great for my thick and heavy 15" laptop using the VESA mount holes. A couple of the rubber pads stuck on back of tray for improved ventilation fell off but after contacting the company for replacement pads, they sent me a new laptop mount tray instead! Appreciate the excellent customer service!

Went together real fast and holds my laptop steady. I mounted it to the VESA mount that came on my clamped bar desk mount. That setup had come with a laptop tray but since it mounted underneath and the bar isn't that long, it made my laptop kind of far away.This tray, since it mounts to the back, fixed that little bit of distance that I needed to be perfect! It was exactly what I was looking for and works exactly as I need it to! I am pleased with the metal construction and it could be used with or without the side clamps, depending on your setup. I used them, but I wouldn't have to.The only thing I altered was that I added to fans to the underneath, being held on with a velcro strap (because my laptop runs super hot) and that works a charm.Love it!

The product itself, once assembled, is great and does exactly what it's intended to do. Good weight to it so that if mounted on a spring arm, its heavy enough to hold position instead of popping the spring arm up, which is what I feared would happen. Air holes for ventilation and adjustable arms all work just fine.Assembling this thing is a royal pain, however. The plastic clips don't just snap in place. I had to involve a block of wood on a hard floor, a flathead screwdriver and a rubber mallet just to coerce these things to snap in to hold the adjustable arms in place. It's a miracle I didn't break the plastic tabs off. Seriously, re-engineer how you mount those arms, those clips are something else.
