LG 3550JJ0009A Genuine OEM Drawer Cover (White) for LG Bottom-Freezer Refrigerators

The original shelf had broken due to being overloaded. I was very happy to find this replacement shelf.it was an exact match for our LG fridge.The shelf itself is pretty easy to replace. Just had to remove the glass top, two clear flat inserts under the glass, and drawer cover flaps from the old shelf, and then a metal support bar that's held on with three screws.Take care to note how the clear flat inserts come out. They are difficult to reinstall. Maybe move them one at a time so you can refer to the old one for orientation. Good time to clean the fridge - you won't want to go through all this again soon.

We have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator, and the shelf broke on us. I had searched Sears parts direct to get a replacement, but they were no longer available. I did some google searching for the part number that Sears had listed on their site, and I found a link to AppliancePartsPro for an equivalent shelf made for an LG product. Their description mentioned it was usable for the Kenmore we had, with only a minor difference for the front of the drawers. That was no big concern for me, as I wanted the drawers to be supported correctly. Other reviewers mentioned keeping the metal support bar to transfer to this new one, and I also put the glass in which fit perfectly. It is a bit tricky to remove, and put in the two plastic parts directly under the draws, but a bit of patience is all that is needed to get everything transferred without breaking. I am so thrilled at how good it fits, and works. AppliancePartsPro's description of compatibility was all I needed to take a chance, and I am glad that I did. If any other part fails, I will return to them for our needs.

I searched for this part through several vendor, but most wanted $35.00 shipping. This vendor was only a couple of dollars more and half the shipping cost. This is a fragile part, but came adequately packaged and undamaged. OEM part looked as good as original, fit perfectly.Also part was out of stock, but Amazon alerted me as soon as it came in (about a week) Shipping speed then was very good. Well worth the wait to save the shipping.

This replacement shelf is a little different from my cracked LG shelf. But, the functionality / compatibility is preserved. Works great and fairly simple to replace. Just make sure you took the metal bar from old broken shelf and inserted in your new shelf. However, the shelf broke again in 6 months. The way it cracks indicates that the part quality is questionable. But, I still give it a second chance. Bought another one in Jan 2018. It is already cracked after 4 weeks of use. Quality is bad.

It was a Perfect fit for our LG twin door with bottom freezer. Be sure to use Food Grade Grease to lubricate the drawer rail tracks. Oils, Vaseline or Any Petroleum based or derived product will cause plastic to Deteriorate.

This came packaged so nice and it fit right in my refrigerator like a glove. I have a kenmore elite that the parts are no longer available for. It’s a great refrigerator and works perfect but after 15 years a few parts needed replacing. This provided the perfect fix. It looks brand new again! Thanks LG!

We got this plastic shelf frame (no hardware) for our LG something-something refrigerator (see the picture for the model # cuz I'm being lazy).Pros:- this frame fits just like the original- we didn't need to buy any extra hardware pieces- I have arthritic hands but I was able to do this project with only a small amount of frustration- I was able to use the metal support bar from the old broken piece (held in with three screws; keep those because they don't come with the new part).Cons with Tips:- A heat gun can be a good friend (or a hair dryer if you are patient). The plastic feels fragile and it's easier to manipulate if you warm it up. Some people swear by duct tape, I swear by heat guns.- When I installed the metal support bar into the new shelf frame, the screws wouldn't go in all the way. I didn't want to force them and crack the plastic frame, and I didn't trust myself to drill the holes bigger because with my luck I would drill them too big (hotdog down a hallway). So I warmed the holes and the screws up with my heat gun and that totally solved my problem. Foreplay, people.- My second issue was getting the plastic tops that cover the crisper drawers back into their little plastic slots of the new shelf frame. You have to pull the frame apart to get the connecting hooks on the covers to fit into the tab-like doohickies in the frame, but there isn't enough room unless you force it. Again I was scared of cracking the plastic. Again I fired up my heat gun and warmed up the sides of the frames that had to stretch. Said a few words. Pushed, pulled, heated, pushed again... and finally they popped into the new frame. Think of Madonna's 1984 hit song...After that, everything went smoothly and we even cleaned the fridge while we were at it...

This was a replacement shelf for my LG refrigerator. There were no directions included so pay attention to how broken shelf looks; I did not and placed plastic grids that sit above crisper drawers from the old shelf incorrectly and had to remove and replace correctly. I had to manipulate the plastic frame quite a bit to get these plastic grids in and then out and then in again correctly and was worried about breaking it, but it was stronger than appeared. 35 minutes and 1 minor laceration later I was done!! It was a bit difficult but worth the effort.
