Arris Touchstone DG860P2 Cable Modem DOCSIS 3.0 (Newest Model)

This gateway works with our ISP, TruVista Communications.I'm using it in 'Bridged' mode with a D-Link DIR-655 router.No problems to report.I'm now saving $5.99 a month in leasing fees. At just under $28.00, it'll pay for itself in 5 months.The unit comes with a power cord and an Ethernet cable.

first bough in mid 2016. lasted about 1.5 years. it was in a safe place and never had anything bump, jostle, hit it, and it never suffered any drops or anything like that.I bought this one (my second) just over a year ago. again, its in a safe place and suffered no shocks or damage. for the pas few months different devices seem to be having intermittent WiFi disruptions. not sure exactly why. could be because now, with Net Neutrality gone, the cable co is doing hinky things; it could be an issue with the modem (but when i run tests on it, there never seems to be a problem).regardless, even it this is r/t the modem starting to die again. paying $25/year is still better than paying $5-10/month to the cable co for rentals (aka $50-120/year).just with the quality was a little better.

Works fine.I replaced a Toledo Buckeye Cablesystem modem because they started charging me a monthly rental fee. I will re-coup my purchase price in 2 years.This modem has its own built-in WI-FI antenna, so it can be used as an additional network in your home. Or, it can be bridged to your current WI-FI router.

This moden works good with internet cable, but the wifi part is bad AF, I have no problam of watching a 2k video on Youtube with my PC becuase its connected with my ethernet cable, but when I watching youtube videos on my phone or laptop without cable connected in, I cannot even load a 720P video. dont buy this one if you are planning on using many wireless things to surf online.

The modem works well. It was very easy to set up, BUT. I have Cox cable, and they do not support it. So it works well, but because they send the signal to one of their supported modems, you get a weakened signal. I When I contacted Arris, they told me that this model is sold in bulk to cable companies to lease and was not meant for retail sales and therefore is not supported by the manufacturer either.So, I get about 30 mps rather than the full 50. Not bad for half the price of the Surfboard.

Look's like brand new, with power cord, the internet cord, for the computer.I'm taking it to SPECTRUM (Time Warner Cable) to add to my Account, then if there is a problemI will give an update! Thank you!9/29/2017.Went to SPECTRUM; Had it added to my account. It did work great, but could not access my Bank accounts, or my Amazon, or anything else. I went to the Bank with my Laptop and Desktop, (also Amazon) I was able to access my accounts there! and everything else, at the Bank!I had a problem, with Passwords; after Activating, with SPECTRUM, I was told I did follow through, with the Activation, I had, Ms. Shelly, reactivate my old, Arris, Touchstone DG860 (also Amazon) 0/30/2017, I had set up before I went, to the bank! Now it works as before.(It will be my standby!)

The modem works just fine when it is wired up. It gets the speeds that are advertised by our cable company but wireless? Forget about it. Our wireless connection is worse than dial-up. When we contacted CableOne about the issue, they didn't officially acknowledge that there was a problem with this modem and the wireless connectivity but they did say, in a round about way, that this modem is known to not have good wireless connectivity. I tried to resolve this issue by connecting another wireless router to this modem and broadcasting the signal from another channel. This works a lot better but is still not up to speed. They told me that I won't get the full speed on a laptop, but less than one mb/second is ridiculous when I am paying for 50 mb/second. I NEVER had this issue with DSL. I got the full speeds that I was paying for, even wirelessly.In short, I would not recommend this modem if you are using it wireless. If you are hooked up with an ethernet cable, then it might work for you.
