My Pick of Picks
Reviewing a guitar pick is of course going to be a very subjective endeavor. I play pretty heavy stuff; lots of soloing, fluid legato. Not so much quick alternate picking or sweeping, but still a lot of fast, precise stuff with copious pick/flesh tonal variationto include plenty of pinch harmonic action. I've used everything from coins to bread clips at one time or another. Dunlop 500 Delrin 1.5mm (purple) were my plectrum of choice previous to these so obviously I favor a thick, hard pick with a good edge. These have been my new faves since I tried them a couple years ago. I like the smaller, teardrop Jazz III shape, the grip facilitated by the raised logo, and the beveled edge culminating in the sharp point for precision.I don't use anything else anymore. If they ever discontinue these I'll be upset. I don't like the newer JP endorsed ones nearly as much as these and really dislike the attack of any Ultex pick I've tried.Hope to continue finding these between the cushions of my couch and car seats for some time to come.

Little pricey for picks, but totally worth it
I've never really cared too much about picks honestly, so it never occurred to me to really search out the "best". This changed when I ordered a Jazz 3 sampler and I instantly knew I needed to change my feelings on the matter. Don't get me wrong, Jazz 3s are amazing (especially the max grips) but still a bit on the small size for my hands and the XLs are too big. I had heard about these and even though they are pretty expensive compared to normal Jazz 3s I figured what the heck. Glad I did though, these are slightly bigger than the normal Jazz 3s and are perfect. I'm definitely a convert. Do yourself a favor and give these a go, especially if you're already a fan of Jazz 3s and find them a bit too small.

These picks are quite durable lasting me about 2 to 3 jam sessions each, they're good overall allowing for a diverse sonic attack due to its smooth gliding and good tone allowing you to play anything from blues to thrash metal with ease. These are a pain to use once they are dulled out though, so make sure to have a couple fresh ones in handy

Una excelente uñeta
De las mejores uñetas para tocar. Tamaño grande, firme y para tocar rapido. Muy bueno, me pase de la jazz iii a esta y es lo mejor.

Perfect!
I was addicted to the Pickboy Jazz picks for over two decades, but they have become very hard to find, and very expensive if you do. Most sellers on Amazon who offer them are usually out of stock.I would bet that John Petrucci was a fan of them as well, and probably asked Dunlop to replicate them... and they did, but even better. These are a little wider than the standard Jazz III picks we are all used to... which tended to be a bit small for me and many other players I know. These are the perfect shape and material for a great, fast-picking guitar pick... and if you know Petrucci's style, you know that matters a LOT! The "JP" logo in the middle is raised to make for a nice gripping surface as well.Thank you, John and Dunlop, for making the PERFECT PICK! I'll be ordering a few more bags so I'll NEVER run out.

Smoothest pick I've ever tried for lead playing
I tried numerous different picks of different materials, thicknesses, sharpness, and edge bevels. This pick has the best combination of all of these characteristics for my playing style (lots of shreddy lead type playing). The pick just glides over the strings making it great for string skipping and sweeping. Despite how easily it glides over the strings it still has a good amount of attack. The only one thing I might improve is the grip. It has a textured grip that works well, but i really like picks that have extreme grip. This is the only pick I use anymore because the others just cant keep up.

... only Jazz IIIs that I have found that are better than these
The only Jazz IIIs that I have found that are better than these, are the Dunlop Ultex. That being said, these Picks have it all. The nice tapered edge, a big grip area. I can use these to strum an Acoustic, as well as speed picking on my Progressive songs and solos.I gave it a FOUR start Rating, only due to the Ultex JazzIIIs, are just slicker, faster, and don't grind down like nylon picks.
