Good Shredder overall, shreds paper to tiny pieces.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this shredder 5 years ago and it still works normal. It cuts papers in small pieces, not strips. Do not put more then 4 pages, over that you can hear it is struggling. Do not shred sticky address labels, they will gum up the shredder. It also cuts CD and credit cards in separate slot. It it overheat it will stop automaticaly to cool down. You will need to wait till it cools down and starts to work again. It looks nice and I also like the handle that makes removal of the shredder head super easy. It's very reasonably priced for a cross cut shredder. As with all shredders, remember to properly maintain. Use shredder oil or shredder harpening/lubrication sheets and it will not fail you for long time.

Exceeded expectations
Quality unit and features for the money. I chose this model for essentially two reasons:- The fact that this is a micro-cut shredder.- It appears to have generated consistently good reviews.I just thought to myself why spend about the same for an equal quality cross cut shredder when for a tad more you get micro cut shredding and the CD/DVD and credit card shredding functions too?Now that I've been using the product I'm pleased with it's overall performance. It does what it says it can do. The blades are seriously heavy duty and the business end (top) of the shredder has a solid feel and heft to it. I can run eight standard sheets of paper through it but obviously it runs much slower and is not something I'd do for any extended period of time. Four sheets at a time is fast and not likely to cause over heating during more prolonged use. It's just common sense, 5,6,7, or even 8 sheets at a time works- you just should manage how long you continuously shred at higher volumes. Some have said the unit is loud, I don't feel mine is unreasonably loud at all but to each his own. I'd buy this unit again or recommend it to anyone looking for a decent spec'd but value priced micro cut shredder.

Great little machine, great seller, great price!
This is a great little shredder-- it's fast, it cuts into really, really small pieces so you have peace of mind about security issues, it has a window in the front allowing you to see how high the shreds have risen so you can be sure to empty it before the micro-shreds back into the mechanism, it has a really handy handle on the working part so the top can be easily lifted for emptying (shredder tops can be heavy and unwieldy)...and other convenient, well-designed features. It even has printed, in white on its black top, the easily visible reminder that its max capacity is 8 sheets.HUGE bonus: I had a really gratifying experience with the seller. I am retired and, yay, am no longer inundated with paper as I was in my office days, so although there are still papers I need to shred, it doesn't happen often-- I use the machine very lightly.I had a problem with the shredder. It's clearly an anomaly, because I went back and checked the reviews, and it seems no one else has had any problem.Tari, the customer service rep with whom I dealt, came through -- It's wonderful to encounter sellers who aim to be as customer-centric as Amazon. They went above and beyond to make sure they had a happy customer. So, I am that happy customer: I love the shredder (the only thing I don't love about it is it's kind of noisy, but small price to pay for such a convenient, very reasonably priced, fits-well-into-its-little-corner-in-my-tiny-apartment, well designed little machine, and now I love the seller (and Tari!) as well.Thank you, Hommii (and Tari!)

Works great
I have used this shredder 3 times so far. It works just okay. Most of the cut is cross-cut, about 80% of the paper. The other 20% is larger pieces of paper. I can only put up to 4 pages of regular paper in the shredder which is okay with me. More than 4 pages, it will slow down and I can hear it struggling. I normally feed it 3 to 4 pages at a time, and I wait a few seconds between each stack. I do not feed it continuously. Even this way, it heats up and stops operating after about 60 pages of paper. I had to wait about 1/2 hour for it to cool off last time. Another time when it overheated, I had to unplug it several times, before I was able to get it out of auto-shutdown mode due to overheating. Somehow, it got stuck in the overheat safety mode even after it had cooled off for about an hour.Update: Bonsaii is sending a new shredder. I am sure I'll happy with the new one. Customer service has been the best.Update #2: I received the new shredder and I tested it. I shredded about 100 pages of paper, 4 pages at a time with waiting about 5 seconds between each stack. The shredder worked great. All pieces were crosscut, and the unit didn't even get warm. It worked flawlessly.Again, great customer service and support.

Great value for money
Exceptionally fast delivery. Shredder received in perfect condition. Easy to set up and great working product. Shreds material into quite tiny pieces, much more secure than some of the best branded and overpriced shredders on the market. The shredder has a large capacity for waste - I used the big plastic bag it came in to line the bin section making it super easy to empty with no dust or mess whatsoever. The credit card facility cuts cards into @ four strips (depending how you insert the card) so it cannot be used and there's a separate waste bit for that, but the main shredder will obliterate cards completely! I will try to update this post in @ 6 months to give a better review of robustness but, so far, its been put through fairly heavy use and has never cut out automatically yet. If one uses wisdom it doesn't need to be pushed to the limit to trip cut outs. All round this shredder is great value for money.

Good Value - Good Machine
I've only had the shredder for a few days, but it seems to be very good. The shredded pieces are about the size of confetti and if you want to safely dispose of your old documents, it seems to me that this is probably the beast for you. I've shredded only one credit card and that worked great and the DVD I inserted got sliced into three pieces. My first impression is that this is a good machine which is good value for your money. There is, however, one flaw in the design of this shredder. The small bin which sits inside the large waste bin to catch sliced up DVD's and locates on plastic rails has no means of locking firmly in place, and so, when tipping out the contents of the large bin, it has a tendency to drop off and get lost! Unfortunately, mine did, and so far I'm not having any success in trying to make contact with anyone who can supply a replacement. If you can help in this regard, I'd be pleased to hear from you.My tip would be that the small DVD bin should only be installed in the main bin when you intend to destroy DVD's, and removed immediately afterwards.

Good product overall, shreds paper to tiny pieces, easy to use
I'm happy with this shredder. I've been using it for weeks. Since nothing is really perfect, there was only one problem which got quickly resolved by Bonsaii's Customer Support (thanks).Pros:- It just works. Put paper in, it shreds it to tiny pieces (micro-cut). This gives me much more confidence that documents won't be ever readable than just the common and cheaper stripe shredders.- It shreds paper with staples, no need to remove them.- There is a separate slot for shredding credit cards and CD's.- It's very easy to operate.- The waste basket has a reasonable capacity.- Takes up to 8 sheets of paper (A4 size 75g/m2)- Customer Support is excellent.Cons(reason for 4 stars)- It takes an effort to empty the waste basket, because you have to lift the whole top shredding unit which is quite heavy. Sometimes when I lifted the top unit and removed the basket, shredded pieces of paper which stayed between the shredding blades fell down on the floor. However I knew this would be the case after reading other reviews before purchasing this item, so I'm not overly bothered with it. I still prefer this model to the ones where you pull the basked to a side.- How can you possibly know what is the weight of paper you want to shred? (75g/m2 or 80 or 90 or 100 or other?) Just to be safe, when I suspect a paper is thicker than usual, I only put 3-4 sheets max in one go. It would be great if it somehow figures out or warns or just won't accept papers where the limit would be over 8 sheets of A4 size 75g/m2. I wish there was a product where I can safely put in 8 sheets of A4 paper and it would take them if they are in the limit and it won't take them and tell me that it's too much for it to chew.- At some point the shredding blades stopped working, but a quick exchange of messages with the Customer Support has resolved this issue.
