VOKKA Posture Corrector M

I couldn't wait to write this review. I had bought and returned other flimsy posture devices. Until this one. It actually had a firm section (with metal that is somehow cushioned to be comfortable) that goes against the upper part of your spine. So with this on, I feel my spine straightening, my shoulders getting pulled back, and wowza... it actually works splendidly!!A bit about me: I'm middle aget, was a triathlete when I was younger, and I currently to go the gym about 4 or 5 days a week. I'm in good shape. But I work at my computer most of the day and have developed a desk-job slouch with my shoulders rolling forward. As I am over 50, tightness and pain have been happening in my shoulders over the last year. I go to yoga classes in addition to my gym strength training, get a massage or two a month, try to stretch on my own, and my shoulder tightness and pain persists. I believe the pain is from from my rolling my shoulders forwards when I'm at my desk and computer.This brace works to correct my posture and it's like my body is breathing fresh air in getting it's posture corrected. The good news is this device is so effective, my "muscle memory" is springing into action. I wear it maybe 30 minutes, take it off, and then I want to pull my shoulders back and sit upright rather than having sloppy posture and rolling my shoulders forward.One side comment, I did not find this device initially comfortable. It initially cut into my arm pits with a very thin tee shirt on. But they advise wearing over clothing and I'm wearing a sweatshirt now and it feels great. You can also order a couple sheepskin seat belt covers to wrap onto this if you want it more cushy around the shoulders and armpits. What I'm trying to say is don't give up on this just because it's not cushy when you first wear it. It is effective, which is what I care about.Here is to your health and long life!(P.S. My chiropractor recommended I get certain leading brand posture corrector, but the smallest size they made was HUGE on me. I am petite, 5'3", 110 lbs. Vokka size M fits me perfectly-- and was 1/3 the price of the brand my chiro recommended! I have been wearing it about an hour each day for 2 months and I definitely notice an improvement in my posture, as well as a reduction in my chronic neck pain. I wear it over a t-shirt / under a hoodie-- it is NOT visible under a hoodie or loose sweater, but you can definitely see it under tighter clothing. I find it very comfortable and experience immediate relief when I put it on. I wear it while driving and hiking primarily but it would also be good for working at a desk. If you slouch while wearing it it DOES put pressure on the armpits, but if you engage your core (as it is training you to do!) there is no discomfort. My coworkers have complimented my good posture even when I wasn't wearing it, so it must be working! Love it, so happy w my purchase.

Ordered this posture corrector recently and have been using it for 4 days in a row now. The support provided is adequate but could have been better. It supports only a small portion of the back, the back support should be slightly longer.Rest, it does provoke you to improve your posture and sit up straight to some extent. I haven't tried any other product in this category so cannot give a comparison, but for this product, I would say order a bigger size so that you get ample back area covered.The adjustable straps make it really comfortable, making it easy to wear under your formal attire as well.I would recommend buying this one, till the time you get a slightly bigger size than you need.

I may not be the target audience. I bought it to help me stop slouching while seated and I feel like I can slouch almost as easily with it on as off. The fit is weird. I'm not a big guy at 5'10", but the "waist" band part is at the bottom of my ribs. It sort of draws the shoulders back, but I can still hinge over at the waist. I may go looking for other options.

I used the chart and measured myself as instructed. I ordered a medium which is my size in all my clothing.You position it at your back with the two loops over your arms and pull the bottom band forward to fasten it.You actually have to pull the band forward while pushing on the loops over your arms at the same time. I could not do it. I am of average strength. I can lift a bankers box of books (carefully and we’ll balanced) but I could not stretch the band to get it to fasten.Sorry, this was a good idea but needs work designing how it is put on and how the sizing is done. Perhaps there could be adjustable straps for the arms which are tightened after the band is fastened. And if there were adjustable straps on the band itself, that would allow for the variety of builds we have in each size category. Thank you.

How is this a size medium? I am 5'6" and 115 lbs. The medium that I ordered does not even fit me, how will it fit the average American? I just don't understand how it could be so poorly scaled. I don't think even my nephew would fit this. It stretches but not far enough for it to be comfortable, it feels like it is trying to tear my armpits off. Yes I have adjusted the shoulder straps, and even when I use up ALL of the band for the second wrap around, it is still too tight and way too uncomfortable. It's supposed to pull up on my core and push down on my shoulders, not pull up on my armpits. I like the design and concept, but size is just too far off.Edit: I have updated my review to 5 stars. The seller reached out worked out some issues with me.Tl;Dr- Order 1 to 2 sizes larger and account for your height when ordering.
