This multi-function emergency radio never needs batteries and can be charged via the built-in dynamo or solar panel.

Doesn't last very long
The radio functions aren't working after only a few years of extremely light usage. I bought it for an emergency... The on/off/volume doesn't work properly and it might turn on every now and then. The emergency light turns on but won't turn off draining the battery. I won't buy this again.

Maybe... Yes!!!
Just out of the box...plugged in...not enough power to make it turn on...but hand crank gets it going...sound is good. I'll charge it over night...if it works then time to test the solar. Of course the true test will be time...next day: all charged up! Tuning was good... listened for 3 hours... sound good! Now, it is charging via solar panel... we'll see how that goes. Maybe I got one of the good ones!?

Not reliable. Two thumbs down.
I've had it for 2 years now. Purchased to use during emergencies (hurricane season, etc). not very reliable. the fee times I've needed it hasn't worked properly. I'm going to purchase a different product.

Only works via hand crank
I left this charging overnight (for like 10 hours) and it still does not turn on. The hand crank makes it work, but I can't seem to have the radio off and crank it to charge the battery. It's like the battery just does not hold a charge. I'm in the path of Irma right now. I really could have used this.

Great little radio
Great little radio. I keep it on 24/7 plugged into a 12 volt cigarette lighter adaptor in my trailer and it works well. Makes people think someone is home since the trailer is in a remote location. The light also stays on which is an added deterrent for anyone snooping around. The sound is not like a stereo system so don't expect great sound from such a small radio. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an emergency radio.

Worked wonderfully
I used this on a recent 3 day Kayaking trip. It was lightweight and compact enough it was easy to store. While I was at camp I would use it and listen to local stations. A storm had come through in the night and I used it to get the update on them. This little radio worked great and I would recommend it. Just a few cranks on the handle and it lasted for quite awhile. While the sun was out the charge indicator was always illuminated showing it was charging. It did not even have to be full sun.

When the lights go out
When disaster hits and electricity, mobile reception and the internet go out, how do you find out what is going on? In previous disasters a radio has been very handy and that is why I picked up this number with a hand crank, a solar panel, and a good light. The light proved the most useful in the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands a couple of weeks ago after a 'supercell' wrecked the place. Alas, all I could find on the radio was junk music and the ABC droning on about their inner city elite concerns. Thirty seconds on the next morning's 7 am news was all we got. Maybe in a cyclone or some more widespread disaster there would have been some useful information about local conditions on the national broadcaster. The light was good to have.

radio runs well from solar charge sitting on window pane
It is running well after just sitting out on the window pane to charge, the radio was running for extended amount of time (didn't run out of charge in the time I tried it for, e.g. 15 minutes, haven't tested how long it would last). Quite like having both the manual winding charge option and the solar panel. It is light weight and looks good quality (have only had it for a few weeks). Am pleased it can operate from the minimum amount of sunlight from a shaded window area (also behind glass, so not even direct sunlight/UV needed, but assume it would charge quicker out in proper light). I left it on window pane for a day or more before trying the radio, so seems to pick up charge nicely over extended time (haven't tested minimum time to get charged, as I left it and forgot to try it on the same day: box states 1 hour in full sunlight for 30 minutes running time). Very happy with the product (especially for running on weak sunlight in shaded area behind glass). Bought a couple more as gifts at the time, so glad it works well.

Best Value On The Market
With all the bushfires is Australia, it became imperative that we get a “transistor” type of radio. We looked at heaps, but thought for the price, this one was worth a try. It’s exceeded all expectations! Radio transmissions are clear, easily loud enough, and the torch is an unexpected bonus! This radio is perfect for what we bought it for.

Three Stars
Very low ability to receive radio broadcasts, only very local, strong signals. And even then only if I'm outside and elevated somehow. Disappointed in the quality, but hey, you get what you pay for.

Compacta
Bonita y compacta. Pero teniendo móvil con radio-linterna, he acabado dejándola en casa. Para excursiones de uno o dos días no merece la pena
