Not a bad product, but not great either.
I liked the way this was delivered, wrapped in plastic in a box. I have used about half the bag and I got good results. It burns evenly but a little faster than Kingsford. However I live in Australia so I have to use what I can order or use Heatbeads, until I leave in a few months to go to Hawaii. Overall, it gets the job done.

Expensive
Ran a bag in my Stumps smoker, worked fine. This charcoal has been discontinued and I’m sure that’s why the price was super high.Cowboy charcoal is the same stuff and I got it for $5 bucks a bag.

This product as far as charcoal is probably the best charcoal i've had
This product as far as charcoal is probably the best charcoal i've had. But the reason for the 1 star is the price is way too much when I can go down to Lowes and get the same bag for $10......

Best clean burning, chemical free, charcoal I have ever used.....
I have been grillin for 45 years or so. I have used many different brands of charcoal. I came across Stubbs about 10 years ago It lights pretty easily, burns hot and long. It is a very dense briquette, hard to break or crush...unlike many others (soft) I have used. NO CHEMICALS in this charcoal. That was my biggest attraction to it.. I'm really pleased with it.The price...$40.00 for a 15lb bag is totally insane, even with free shipping. The purpose of a consumer review is to rate the quality and value of the product. NOT the price (I rate this product 5 stars, based on quaity). Obviously, price is worth mentioning. Especially when the price is unusually low, or high......$40.00 is outrageously high. Walmart used.to sell Stubbs (15lb) for $7.69. As of mid 2016 I have never see it again at Walmart. They obviously don't carry it any more. I have been to 3 Walmart super canters numerous times, Stubbs is nowhere to be found. Lowes!....Lowes carries it. It's ten dollars a bag, or ten and change. I don't care. I will continue to use Stubbs....for as long as I can find it. I even use Stubbs Barbecue Sause

One of the Best
Excellent briquette with an even burn rate and consistent temp. Great flavor. Looks as if Lowes isn't going to carry it any longer. Too bad
