Install it correctly, and this amp is awesome!!!!!!!
I read lots of reviews before purchasing this amp. The reviews were very mixed. I'll tell you how to make this amp rock.... First of all, they say this should be wired with 4/8 awg power wire. Use 4 awg!!! This amp draws alot of power, and you will burn up the power supply if there is not enough current to the amp.Second of all I read that this amp gets hot and shuts down. Put it in a well ventilated area. I drove around for 2 hours with the amp cranked before it got hot enough to shut down. Even then it shut down for 10 seconds and came back on. Put a fan on the amp, and you won't have any problems.Third thing is I'm running a 1 farad capacitor. The voltage never drops below 13 volts. I very much recommed running a capacitor as this will hold steady voltage to the power supply of the amp. I've been running Lanzar amps for 20 years, and the experience I've had are the power supplies are very touchy. Keep the power supply happy by running 4 awg wire and enough voltage feeding the amp.Fourth bullet point is for these people who run the amp at too low of an impedance. This amp is rated at 4 ohms mono and 2 ohms stereo. I'm running one 4 ohm 12" sub in mono which the amp sees as a 4 ohm load. Do not run two 4 ohm subs mono as this will give you a 2 ohm mono load and burn the amp up.I hope this review has been helpful. As I said if you install it correctly, this amp will pound!!!! I'm guessing all of these people who have had bad luck with these did not install them correctly.

Good amp for the money....
I bought this amp on Friday, with 5-8 business day shipping. I received the amp on the following Tuesday and picked it up from the postal office the next morning. I did my research, read reviews and watched what videos I could find on the web. I took the chance on rolling the dice. I wired it in with my Scosche KPA8 wiring kit. Tuned the gain to 20V via 50Hz sine sweep, LPF on and tuned to 150Hz with 12db bass-boost. @ clipping this amp so far put out 850W peak uncertified power. With a total system upgrade, I'm going to put this amp on the rack an push it. If it cannot accept its claimed specs, then it will be returned and this review updated.*Did go into protect mode after less than an hour at max of what I can push it non-bridged. My trunk isn't well ventilated and its August in Central Illinois. I expected it to get hot. So, with that in mind I'll wire in a fan or two later on.My only gripe is my own fault NEVER EXPECT TO SEE 2000W! Read the description. States that 2000W rating is while in HPF not LPF. Max to be expected is 1350W @ 2Ω. Still not bad for a $70 amp.4-stars for lack of experience with amp and the heatsink fin cut me. Edges should be rolled. Otherwise beautiful amp and with proper tune and wiring (prefered 4awg) plus good subs and box. I'd buy a second one.***EDIT I purchased a Rosewill RFA-120-K 120mm fan and KnuKonceptz KCA-K4 wiring kit. I'll update after install upon receiving.

Excellent 300 watt amplifier ("2000 watt" 2 channel model HTG257)
Worked great, incredible dollar to value ratio here. Don't clip it and install it properly and it should last for years to come. The quality feels much better than Boss, especially in the EQ/crossover controls and the overall heft/feel of the amp. Powered a 250w 15" sub with it and it had plenty of power. Just please know this is a 300 watt RMS amplifier. A amp's "MAX" rating means "Made Up", and manufacturers usually lie about RMS power too. To skip the BS and consult factual science, look at the amp's fuse, multiply by 10, =ballpark range of RMS power. The singular 30 amp fuse on this puppy means ~300 watts (about 2,000 if it gets struck by lightning). Look at Rockford's 1200 watt amps, or the high quality ones like Sundown. Their fuse amp ratings (multiplied by 10) match their claimed RMS power ratings.

this amp doesnt last long
I have had this amp for around 2 months now. It sounds amazing and hits real hard with a clear sound but I always had problems with it overheating. I glued 3 fans on it and it helped a lot but did not fix the problem. My only guess is if it was from my doing it was because my amp kit was made for 1200 watts. I just replaced my amp kit today to try and get it going and come to find out this amp is not producing anymore sound. The green light is on so there is power to it but all that comes from every speaker I plug it into is static. I know the wiring is right after checking it at least 5 times. I have to say though the amp is a beast but with these you have to kind of hope you get lucky and get one in good shape because not all of them are in perfect working condition. Also know of someone with a 4000 watt lanzar vibrant who also had their amp overheat on them constantly, bot others saying they never had the problem. So it is a chance you have to decide on taking.

Great purchase
Great amp for the price. Received it today and installed immediately- it powered my sub perfectly- still working out some bugs, like, the unit has gotten very hot and shut down several times, moved it to a more ventilated location. It still get very hot but didn’t shut down. So far so good.

CRAP!!!!!
THE AMP WAS INSTALLED BY PROS... IT WORKED FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND GAVE OUT. HAD IT INSTALLED IN A 2013 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH 2 PIONEER PREMIER 12S 800W MAX... AND WITH THE AMP HALFWAY UP AND BASS BOOST HALFWAY AS WELL.... THE AMP WOULD GO INTO SAFE MODE OF AFTER ABOUT 30MINS OF CONTINOUS USE... THE ONLY WAY IT STAYED ON IS IF WE OPENED THE BACK WINDOWS AND LET THE SEAT DOWN SO AIR COULD GET TO THE AMP. AND DEPENDING ON WHAT TIME OF DAY, IT WOULD PLAY FOR ABOUT 3HRS MAX THEN... IF YOU LOOKING FOR SHORT TERM, THIS IS FOR YOU.. BUT ITS NOT WORTH 50 CENTS IF YOU TAKE MY OPINION... PLEASE DONT BUY THIS ITEM... IT REALLY SHOULD BE FREE..
