So my skin is OILY, by 2pm my skin is covered in oil. I’ve tried so many different face washes, primers, powders, setting sprays and nothing helps. I use Paula’s choice toner and cleanser and love their products so I decided to look up and see it they had anything for oil control and I saw this and decided to give it a try and OMGGGAbsolutely amazing!!!!! The first time I used it, I had a delivery at work that involved me being outside in the humid August Florida weather for 6 hours, and I was blown away by the results! My skin has NEVER went through a day without having an insecure amount of oil on my face ESPECIALLY if I’m outside, till that day. My skin was the best I’ve ever seen it, no oil, AT ALLMy makeup didn’t crease up anywhere like it usually would from the oil, my makeup looked better, my pores looked smaller and my skin was also SUPER soft. You really don’t need a lot of this product either, a little goes a long way. The price might be intimidating but I promise it’s definitely worth it, my bottle has lasted me about a month now (I use it every single day too) and I still have some left.One tip if you do get this product, blot and tap it into your skin, don’t rub! If you’re putting on makeup on top, make sure not to rub anything, tap and blotting gives the best results I’ve come to find.I don’t think I’ll need to try anything else for oil control, if you have any problems with oil I would definitely give this product a try

My skin on my nose and chin is so oily. My makeup looks terrible within 2 hours and I’ve tried every primer, toner and oil free moisturizer out there. Even in winter when my skin is drier and more flaky, the oiliness still breaks through. But this product lets it last almost a full day. I tap it on, on top of my foundation, and then do a swipe with a setting power. The results have been nothing short of amazing.

I'm a man who has incredibly oily skin. I've tried just about every product on the market for oily skin. NOTHING worked for me. By the middle of the day, my face looked like an oil slick. The only thing I could do was either wash or use blotters. Neither was ideal. I stumbled across this product and thought I'd give it a chance. I'm so glad that I did. It actually worked! However, it's important to note that it's not magic. There are some caveats.First, you have to follow the directions. You can't RUB this on. You have to DAB it on. That makes a big difference. I think rubbing causing the microspheres that absorb oil to break (?). I don't know for sure, but rubbing it on makes it far less effective. Second, you have to use quite a bit, if you have super oily skin. Third, you have to put this one evenly. If you clump it on, it'll dry with white streaks. I suppose you could use a makeup sponge. I just use my fingers and gently dab evenly. Finally, it made my skin finally look normal...but it was absolutely not matte by the end of the day. I still had some oiliness. That said, it was far less than before. The directions say you can use more. I guess you could. I just use some blotting pads (I like Mary Kay personally) to absorb around mid day. Sure, it's not ideal. It's also far less than what I had to do before. Without this, I'd have to blot several times a day or you could see your reflection in my face. That's how shiny it was. I've made this part of my skincare regime. It works all year round. In summer, I put it on after sunblock. In the winter, I put it on after any skincare products.Like any skincare product, YMMV. You may try this and hate it. For me, it's the only thing that worked. I can't get rid of my oily skin. This product at least makes it manageable.

Works well just broke me out a little bit

This stuff is AMAZING. As a guy with oily facial skin I got tired of this sheen on my face at the end of the day. I have NEVER put anything like this on my face but my wife bought it for me so I tried it. It is invisible when put on but it really does a great job of absorbing oil throughout the day. There’s not much out there for oily faces and this is a game changer.

This stuff does not work at all. Don't waste your money.

I have been using this product for 2 years. I have very oily skin and had to blot several times a day. The situation was even worse in high humidity (regardless of whether it was warm or cold). I have been looking for a product to reduce shine and the amount of oil exacerbating my acne. Previously I tried the Becca Ever Matte primer, which worked for only a couple of hours (excessively drying out my skin) before the oil and shine came back in an extreme way.With Shine Stopper, I found that it doesn’t excessively dry my skin and it lasts for many hours. It doesn’t prevent all shine from returning, but in low humidity I find that I can typically blot just once in the middle of the day - with much more effectiveness - and that’s enough to be shine-free for the rest of the day. In higher humidity maybe I have to blot twice. Remember that this is for someone with extremely oily skin, so if you’re not as oily I assume you’d blot less or not at all.It is important to dab this product on the skin rather than rubbing it in. Just keep dabbing all over and be sure to dab more in the oiliest areas. You can apply it under or on top of makeup, moisturizers, etc. Reapplication with the Becca primer typically ruined my makeup, so this is a real plus with the Paula’s Choice product. I also experience no irritation around the eyes with this product. I often wear it with no makeup at all and I highly recommend it to others with oily skin. Two thumbs up!
