Disappointing Indeed
I purchased this because I wanted a mixer and blender in one. I have a Bosch, but hate the blender. This looked like a *Wonderful* deal. Nope. It was not.The mixer could not mix a small batch of bread dough. (2 loves) It also could not cream the room temperature butter and sugar for cookies. The blender worked great for mayonnaise. Very disappointing. I requested to return it since it could not do what was promised. Not to mention that the company promised 2 drive shafts in the advertising photos and their video because they are "Prone to breakage" and then only sent one because they changed their mind. Citing that they made a "Typo". No thanks..... too many problems for me.

great machines can't say enough good about them, made a differernce in how I feel now , no more wheat belly in just days
did every thing claimed and more.started by trying to grind whole wheat in a blender after I saw some you tube vids , disaster, bought the wonder mill grinder, wow, 8 cups of whole wheat in bout 2 minute's or so, to fast to time 8 cups made 12 cups of flour . fought with a kitchen aid mixer the big one mixing two loaves at a time, it strained the mixer , bread was heavy and crumbled, kept at it and was reading and watching vid's and came to the conclusion that I needed some thing that was made for whole grain flower so I ordered the wonder mix. looked at others and since the wonder mill was so good I went with the wonder mix .used it one time so far, could kick my self, fought with that mixer for 2 months, tried every thing under the sun and bread was crappy, well one time and the wonder mix some how gets the gluten out of the whole grain wheat and what a difference , rises now, taste is 100 times better, I use the white hard wheat I buy on amazon,if you are serious about your health and never buy store bread again, get this combo of the grinder and mixer, don't do like I did and fight with a kitchen aid mixer and wasted lot of time and grief. it also made it so stretchy that I rolled some out and made soft pretzels , it makes excellent pizza dough in 5 minutes or less, you can make a lot of loaves at one time, at least 5 big ones at a time. so saves money baking,I don't know if the things I read about store bread is true but in my case it was, wheat belly, I had it most of my life, I am 73, first time ever my stomach starting shrinking, in two days I didn't have that bloated feeling, what I read was that store bought bread whole wheat (a joke, maybe 5 percent at most) stayed in your system for two to four days, I am a believer now, loosing weight and the beer gut and I don't drink.I feed the squirrels and I couldn't believe it, I bought store bread and left the wrapper open, well 20 or more days later setting on the counter and it still felt fresh and soft, whats that, a lot of as far as I am concerned poison preserving grinding your own wheat and making bread won't last 3 days on the counter . no poison preserving .in just two months I have never felt bettergo to the wonder mill sight they have a lot of vid's made by every one not just there company vid's ;, If you play one of theirs and at the end more will be on the screen, Shauna some thing another has 8 of them, pretty good info, 1 to 8, learned a lot thereone person said the wonder mix wouldn't mix two loaves of bread, any thing is possible but my machine didn't even slow down with 5 loaves at once so I am wondering,by the way on the grinder they say to run it for 10 to 15 seconds to clean it, well maybe the main grinder but the collection canister needs to take the inside deflector off and the filter, wash them with hot water or the next time you use it white powder is shooting out the top thru the filter, I wash the filter every time and let it dry, not a big dealps roll out some dough to make noodles, don't buy that store crap, unbelievable how good they are and good for you,one last word, if you click on the name used like mine is steve ypsi mi it will show you how many reviews they submitted, I try to give a honest review, I have about 60 reviews, a lot are 5's because they did what they said and a reasonable price, some I gave a one star not out of bias but how they preformed .I always read the reviews before buying, they have helped me deciding on buying or not, on bigger purchase's I watch for really bad reviews and click on their review name and if there is only one review I question it or ignore itwell now time has passed and used the mixer several times and it preforms great .. I even did some white store flour for some friends request, jezz, I thought at first the dough was rising so fast and high I thought of the movie the Blob and I was going to kill it, never had the store flour rise like that.a test you have to do is the stretch test, in the case of the two loaves of white flour at about 5 minutes pull off a little and flatten it in your fingers and then stretch it, should stretch with out pulling apart, same for the whole grain flour. always do this and you will know when its ready to rise and not have airy crumbly bread.

This is the perfect Match UP
I bought this New Wondermix German-designed and German-engineered mixer because I've always owned German-designed and German-engineered mixers. My Mom owned a Bosch and my grandma owned a Bosch and so I was considering spending the extra $175 dollars to buy a Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machine. I thought that if I did that I would be getting the latest version of the German-designed Bosch Mixer. Well my mother and grandmother never had trouble with their German-made Bosch mixers. In fact, they are still using them. After some checking on my part, I discovered That the new Bosch Universal Plus Mixer is not made in Germany. Rather, it is now made in Slovenia now. And I have been told by several friends that the motor and transmission are much weaker now then the older German-made Boschs. I've also heard from other reviewers that Bosch is now catering to the Costco and Overstock.com type of discount market. Perhaps they've changed production to Slovenia in order to make more profit. I think they've traded off quality in the process. Well I decided to try the Wondermix Kitchen Mixer because of its German-engineering and German-design. I've used it hard making 5 loaves (at a time) of 100% whole wheat and bagels with no problem. I've whipped egg whites into mountains of meringue and large double batches of chocolate chip cookies with no Problem. I've also made some of the best pesto I've ever made in the Wondermix's blender. So far, I am extremely pleased. I'll continue to update this review as I try new things. I'm going to try a batch of my grandma's Divinity which requires some serious whipping action. It looks like it will work great with the Wondermix heavy stainless steel cookie whips. I'll let you know. So far this is the best kitchen mixer I've found for the money with its 3 year warranty. I've had my Wondermill grainmill for over 8 years so I know that the Wondermix is backed by a solid company with a great customer service reputation. P.S. someone said that they only received one shaft - mine came with 2. And according to the manufacturer Wondermix's shaft has reinforced fibers in it to guarantee against breaking. Thanks Wondermix/Wondermill Company for your great products and customer service.Sincerely - Jane
