AMAZING!
I bought this jack for pulling fence posts. We're re doing our backyard fence and the fence posts are set in concrete. Digging them out was going to be a pain. However, this heavy duty/high quality hi-lift jack pulled the posts with much less effort. I'm impressed. Now I'm going to mount to on my Jeep for off-road use. Can't say enough good things about this jack. LOVE IT!

Save your self money in the long run and go with the Hi-Lift jack over the competitors.
Save your self money and the long run and go with the Hi-Lift jack over the competitors. The extra $20.00 you spend up-front will pay for itself on the replacement parts you would need for the competition!About six months ago I bought a Reese Towpower 54" jack after shopping for a hi lift jack and wanting so save some bucks went with the Reese. For the Reese jack the leading Tractor store in my area had a 30 day warranty on it. So five months after purchase, and four months out of warranty one of the pins jammed after starting to bend. It turns out it will take up to a month to get the replacement Reese parts from eTrailer.com and I am left without a functioning jack.I just got this Hi-Lift Jack and oh boy this thing is so solid and well-made compared to my first jack that this was clearly the one to go with in the first place. Having a removable foot via a clevis pin is also a big plus because that and the chain clip together make this a super-effective winch.

So handy
Proven design and reliability. Bought this in conjunction with some recovery boards just in case I get my self stuck. Not 4-Wheeling so couldn't justify a winch set up yet for my Ram 1500. Already used it to lift up a 30-foot scissor lift that got a tire bogged down with ease. That thing was weigh 3000lbs. My only "concern" is the casting where the handle meets the jacking mechanism. It's a cast socket part where the handle slides in to and I think with some untoward force used in lifting, it may crack/break. A bit more robust casting in that area would put my mind at ease, though I am sure they did their fair share of testing in R&D. It's just not all cast parts are made the same. Other than that, the jack is a hefty beast. Should last a lifetime and than some.

nice jack
I have a tendency of overbuying item. I didn't need this beefy of a jack, but I had thrown away my GM crap when I almost lost the truck due to the uneven base. The base for this jack is not big enough and I won't buy the silly plastic base that is offered to compensate for the small base. I will use 2x wood and metal angle iron to make an adequate base for this jack. The jack is made of very durable high quality materials. The design seems to be well thought out except for the base. The only other complaint about this jack is that I haven't figured out how to attach it to the front bumper of my pick-up. I don't want to buy any more "optional" equipment to make this tool do it's job. I like the fact that it can be used for compressing or expanding materials. I jacked up the back of the pick-up with no problem. Once I figure out how to use it for the front bumper I think it will come in quite handy. I know it will be handy doing odd jobs around the farm.

"Real Deal"
Just got this jack. I had a Harbor Freight 48" Farm Jack and had lifted the rear of my Taco via the Class III receiver. I just wanted to see how the jack performed with/out the tires off the ground. In a nut shell, the jack scared me! It did not come down without the handle mechanism jamming. Scary @*#&?r!! Took it back and bought the beast! Well worth the extra dough and a solid product! Weighs 32lbs exactly. I weighed it on my scale. This is by far a superior product. Make sure you oil the mechanisms. I sanded the rail closest to the jack handle and sprayed graphite so it jacks smoothly and prevents rust. "Cool jack, very cool." As a side note, the packaging was perfect and solid, hence why its total weight is 50lbs and the jacks weight is 32lbs. Very happy and feel 5 stars are appropriate, it does what it should!!

This jack is "official"!
I am a Army guy at Fort Bragg, NC (for another 691 days!) and have discovered that it is much easier to buy your own gear to use and keep it when you are done. I purchased this jack for self-recovery when we go to the field and also to use with my Jeep Cherokee. The first day I got it I took it to the motorpool and attempted to lift the front end of an M923 5-ton and that truck is WAY too heavy for this jack (I could probably winch it out of the mud but can't lift the front end). I then put it under the back end of a Hummvee and proceeded to lift it off the ground no problem. I could probably pick the truck off the ground if I had a way to suspend it! Then I took my jack home and used it to pull a 6-inch tree trunk out of the ground in my back yard. Nice. Very nice. This jack is worth every cent I paid for it and will out live me and my grand children. I highly recommend this jack to anyone who wants the top-end in equipment.

I should have purchased one of these years ago !
This appears to be a well made jack,,, it is approximetely 30 lbs. by itself, I used it, after lubing the pins and levers and cranks, to lift up a small but heavy building and put the bottom on blocks ! It performed flawlessly, and if you remember the cardinal rule, when it comes to using these type jacks, this tool will be getting me out of tough situations for years to come ! This is a fine USA made product !
