All good!

Great for holding my drawing on the drafting table.
I like the little dots for holding down the paper. It was a little tricky to figure out how the box dispensed the dots, but once I figured it out, it worked fine until I used half the box. I can reuse the dots if I am careful.

Expensive but worth it
I’d advise not pressing hard because you don’t need to and unless you want a tear in your perfect draft. But cutting off a half inch from the paper doesn’t hurt.

Awesome product
Best product I've found for this. Tape tends to get stuck under parallell bars, but these dots work perfectly. Easy to remove, doesn't stick to vellum or tracing paper (doesn't like bristol board too much, but still works fine). The dispensing mechanism built into the box continues to amaze anybody who sees it, and it is pretty cool, I gotta admit.

Pop-up Dots!
If you hold the box as instructed, the dots pop up already pealed off the supporting strip. I saw an online video demonstrating. The box even has a drawing of a thumb to help find the right spot. Place your thumb over the drawing and press down. Pull the tape and voila! Dot pops up already separated from the backing.Besides the clever dispenser box, I've been delighted with the dots. They hold well and yet, pull up cleanly when I'm done.

Perfect for drafting
Perfect for drafting. They are quick and simple to use for holding your paper in place. I have used these and drafting tape and I prefer these for the ease of use.

Overly sticky dots with "ALVIN" logo on each dot....
I was looking for removable dots that could be marked. Mostly removable (they are pretty sticky) but they have the ALVIN logo on each dot -- so, they really arent good for being marked -- this was not obvious in the product picture -- if this does not bother you, it is probably a pretty good dot for the price.Does it hold paper in place? yes. But, ALVIN has limited the broad utility of a drafting dot to this single function :/

Love my DOTS
I use these especially when drafting new patterns, or tracing older, worn out patterns. They hold the pattern in place so it won't slide around when trying to trace. I also secure the tracing paper overlay with these as well. Just be sure to carefully peel the dot from the paper after using it. I re-use dots a few times, before tossing them. I actually discovered these when working as an office manager for a Civil Engineering firm. The Engineers and/or drafting crew would only use ALVIN.
