Works like a charm
I must say, I was skeptical to buy an expensive brush for my first try at DE shaving. When this arrived, it arrived in a nice box, wrapped and smelling of nothing but quality. I let it sit in hot water for about 10 minutes, then massaged in some conditioner. Let that sit for another 20 minutes or so and then rinsed off. I have yet to see any hairs fall out of the brush.I will say, its a good idea to let the brush sit in warm water for about 5 minutes prior to using it. DO NOT shake it dry before use!! All you have to do is pull it out of the water, let it drip dry (about 5 seconds) and then move it to your coffee cup or bowl and start lathering up!Glad I bought this, as it really makes shaving much better with a good lather. (I use Jack Black Shaving creme, but I might try something else in the future to see what is available.)

Awesome brush
Awesome brush. I’ve used this brush for five years now and it is still going strong. Barely any hair loss and it is as soft and supple as the day it was purchased. The logo washed off long with nearly daily usage. I highly recommend this brush.UpdateI’ve been using this brush for over nine years and it’s still as good as when I first purchased it. The decal wore off years ago but the handle and bristles are still going strong. I no longer shave every day as I am now retired but twice a week does the job. Great brush and great value.

Good Brush
This brush is a good quality brush, but I realized after I received it that it just wasn't what I was looking for. I am a DE shaver, and I use shaving cream applied to my face with the brush, and lather on my face. I was accustomed to using a Peerless brush that my father had for many years. He probably bought it in the 1950s. Howie at Super Safety Razors, the vendor, was very helpful in identifying the cause of the differences I was observing between how the Peerless brush performed compared to the Parker. It basically came down to that the Peerless is a boar bristle brush, and this Parker is a badger bristle brush. I prefer boar bristle because I like the way it retains its shape a little better during use than badger does, and badger just seemed to waste more lather because I wasn't able to get it out of the brush onto my face. The badger brush, while softer overall, also had a few bristles that are a little scratchy on my face. Perhaps a higher quality badger knot would not have this issue. The boar bristle is stiffer overall, but evenly and smoothly works the lather on my face without scratching. I ended up buying a Semogue Owners Club boar bristle brush which I prefer. Neither are as good as the old Peerless, but that one is falling apart, unfortunately.

Awesome mid-range brush!
This is an awesome brush for the price. I've never purchased at $60 brush because, well that seems a bit expensive for a tool that simply leathers and spreads soap on my face. I don't wear a monocle and top hot.I've been working my way up from the cheapest and this is closest to the real deal as you are going to get. Very few hairs fell out during my first use. I've had it for a few months and it's still holding up great. It leathers great.Highly recommend this especially if you don't want to shell out a lot of money for shaving brush.

A great, inexpensive brush that's high quality
A great, inexpensive brush that's high quality! I've been using this brush for the last 10 days, and it seems to be breaking in very well. There have been very few loose hairs from this brush, even fewer than from a synthetic brush I was using before I ordered this one! The badger bristles feel like they have slightly more backbone compared to what I was using, which is exactly what I was looking for. The base appears to be high quality as well, and has a nice neutral feel while I'm holding it to lather. All in all, a great buy!

Husband is sort of ticky about things, sometimes hard to please, but who isn't? But he hit the jackpot on this brush! It's so soft & he just loves it! thanks

What was I thinking?
Makes me wonder why I tolerated my prior brush for so long!It always comfortably delivers a lush lather with very little effort on my part.
