Great guide for starting solids
Loved this book! Great guide for starting solids. Reviews multiple feeding methods, outlines feeding scheduled based on age, reviews age based nutrition and milestones! This is a handbook I constantly refer back to!

Excited to learn
Update:I was unaware that Amazon stops the sale of kindle content while on an iOS device. They do this so Apple doesn’t take a cut of the purchase. I believe there is a Kindle version you just have to use your computer.——Seems like a great resource. Have only had for a short while. Will update review later if I change my mind on star rating or have better context.Note to potential buyers as of June 2018: I tried to purchase the kindle edition on amazon but could only get a sample. I googled the author and bought the book directly from her site. It’s a basic pdf and is very difficult to read on a mobile device. I was unaware it was digital based on her site description as well. So I thought I was ordering a paperback. This doesn’t change the worthiness of the content, but it does make it a challenge to use.

Supplements is the answer for everything in this book
Was a good book, took off a star because it kept mentioning to give your baby supplements. I’ve never heard a book recommend so many supplements for a baby. It also seemed to almost shame mothers who didn’t give their babies a vitamin d supplement at birth

So Helpful!
This was really helpful before I started our baby on solids. It was super educational and made me feel more prepared for this transition. I didn't just want to feed my baby anything, but wanted to make sure that he was continuing to get the necessary nutrition after breastfeeding.

From a fellow registered dietitian
I myself am a registered dietitian and I will not take advice from anyone but a registered dietitian on starting my baby on solids. I found this book to be clear and informative. I am happy I got it and would recommend it to friends/ patients.

My go-to guide during the first year of feeding
I came across Jill Castle's podcast before I even had children. Everything she shares is not only backed by the latest research but super helpful as well. This book has become my go-to resource throughout the first year of my child's feeding journey. At his six month appointment our pediatrician told us "time to start solids" but didn't provide any real guidance -- this is where Jill's book came in handy! How much iron, DHA, etc. should he be getting (when and how), what foods can we start with, which to maybe be more cautious of, serving sizes, etc...just so many wonderful tips and information in an easy to digest (no pun intended) manner. Highly recommend this book for anyone who just wants to introduce a solid feeding foundation to their child without spending hours googling. This is a great book to give to any new parent!
