Very nice and consistent airbrush.
I LOVE this airbrush! I use it for watercolor & acrylic artwork and find with correctly thinned paint it never clogs. It is SO easy to clean with 3 or 4 spray throughs of airbrush cleaner between paint changes, and on the one occasion I took it apart for a deep clean the interior was absolutely spotless. You have to be careful & patient when taking it apart as it's not that easy to reassemble, but after 5 or 6 practice runs I'm comfortable with the process now. It's very flexible in usage as well because while the needle isn't the thinnest out there, with the right air compressor pressure and holding the airbrush close to the painting surface I've been able to paint relatively consistent thin lines, while obviously retaining the broader coverage when held further away and adjusting the compressor pressure.Iawata has a reputation for high quality and this airbrush certainly perpetuates that reputation.

FANTASTIC airbrush upgrade!
I am pretty new to airbrushes. I bought a "starter" airbrush and compressor, which served me pretty well for a few months of learning and practice with my mini painting (40k). But that airbrush required a LOT of fiddling to keep it flowing. Sometimes I had to stop in the middle of a painting session to clean the airbrush and get good flow back. That is NOT the case with this bad boy! I just throw paint in the cup and it works until I'm done! Great coverage, great control for how much paint I want to spray at a time. It's a great upgrade for me!For the experienced airbrushers out there, I'm not sure how this will stack up to the $100+ brushes. But for hobbyists, this is a reliable workhorse that gives great results! Well worth the money to upgrade!

A very good starter/intermediate airbrush
So I've been using this airbrush to paint gundams for a little while now, and I overall think it's a very good brush, however, if you are attempting more advanced techniques, such as pre/post shading or something along those lines, I'd recommend a higher quality airbrush (such as the eclipse or H & S Infinity). It could be me, or it could be the airbrush, but it seems to get clogged more often if I'm not holding it down full throttle. This could also be because of the paint I'm using (pre-thinned lacquer paint from G-Paint which requires no primer, a good starter brand of paint), but I don't think that's the case. It's also relatively easy to disassemble and clean, which I think is very important for a good airbrush. Overall, I'd recommend it for anyone who needs a better airbrush than the 30 dollar kits people buy, but only for intermediate type of painting, especially if it's on models.

Huge upgrade
Such an upgrade from the piece I was working with! I really understand what all the videos were talking about with viscosity and control while using this brush. I love it and really recommend it for anyone starting out. Great pressure, no leakage, comfortable in the hand, it’s built really well. And the functionality of the brush really is a huge step up if you are using nameless brands.

Easy to use
WOW, I received this today and all I can say is wow. I've been using a harbor freight air brush for a few years. It worked but it getting more and more frustrating with starting and stopping. Might spray might not. I can't afford the high dollar airbrushs so I'm glad iwata offers this what I call an entry level brush. You won't be disappointed if your in the market for something better than the cheap china brush.

great starter airbrush
I used this to learn how to airbrush, and its great quality, now I use it as my trusty backup. If your looking to learn how to use an airbrush this one is a great starter or if your just looking for a quality brush that wont break your bank, this one works really well.
