A better filter than the shorties
My GM engine calls out for a PF46 shorty oil filter, which is fine for shortened period oil change cycles such as 3K miles or less. I bought this filter because it is almost twice the size, twice the filtering media. If your current shorty filter doesn't protrude below the bottom of the oil pan, measure the difference, then check the length spec on the Pf61 to make sure it won't protrude below the oil pan. If it doesn't, then this filter will work for you!
