DreamStation DC Power Cord - Genuine Philips Respironics

I tried making my own 12 plug for my cpap but unfortunately all the local electronic hobby stores have closed down and ordering a resister off the internet to match the reference voltage for the cpap to work was a third of the price of just buying a 12 volt plug for it. I'm real happy to get to camp with my dreamstation. I bought it the $31.69 price because it said original equipment or something along those lines in the post and didn't want to risk a knockoff not having the proper voltage and the machine not turning on. I'm talking about "the DC port on these devices require a proprietary signal in order to recognize a valid power source;" I'm calling it a power supply interlock, not sure of the real name. I don't know if they are looking out for us because the device is delicate and the filter things on the power cord are super necessary or if they just want to get more money from us. Either way I'm just going to run this thing off of a car battery for now. I would like to find a more compact power source but I'm not sure I'm willing to spend hundreds of dollars on that. A friend of mine who designs Lithium ion batteries professionally build his own power supply and got it certified for airline travel. My plan for now it beg him to give me the hook up and teach me how to make one. I guess I'll be car camping or short walk in distances where I can bring my car battery in with a wagon for now. Last time I went camping and my home made cord didn't work for me I wound up running the generator all night. If just seems so wasteful, no more of that hopefully. If you buy one enjoy your new freedom I know I will try to.

I used this to plug into my Philips Respironics Bi-Pap machine while I was camping. I used an ECOFLOW Portable battery. Somehow, it indicated that the humidifier would not work with it, but that did not cause me any problems as I was in a very humid environment already.

This cord is original equipment. The cord fits perfectly and works great! Used for camping.

I can't explain why my other 12 volt cord didn't work with the Jackery. But, this cord works perfectly.I believe the Dreamstation is a little more finicky than the other Respironics machines. I also had to replace the barrel plug cable also in addition to this 12 volt cigarette lighter cord.But, this cigarette adapter appears to come right from Respironics. It's got Respironics literature inside the packaging.And, it was delivered same day, can't explain that either.

The cable works to power my DreamStation ST. It is too bulky and expensive, which is why I rate this 4/5, but it works great!As a few others have noted, either this cord or the DreamStation itself is extremely picky about the DC input voltage, which prevents its use with many lower quality batteries. I have tried it with 4, and have only been satisfied with one of them:Renogy 72000mAh 266Wh https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0791WDZTW/This has lasted at least 4 nights / 35hrs of continuous use with >50% capacity left. Capable of recharging my Lenovo X1 Carbon laptop via USB C (though if you're not careful, the laptop might recharge the battery). It is quite heavy and technically is over the TSA limit for battery capacity... so travel with it at your own risk. When fully charged, the DreamStation gave a 'check power source' warning. The batteries probably had a DC output voltage that was too high.2. The batteries were inconsistent in capacity, sometimes delivering less than a full night of use, and other times two nights.3. The batteries did not have high enough capacity for reliable service (since you had drain ~10-20% of the battery in order to use it, sometimes it would fail after 5-6 hrs)

Getting a brand name for this price is great! Used it with a solar generator AND humidifier, and it worked very well. I'd recommend this!

RAN this adapter 3 times for 9 hours no problems at all in camper double batteries ran with low drain

Does what I needed it to do and was an original oe piece so awesome
