I used this 5x and I didnt ready any instructions, I'm one of those guys. And it worked using common sense. As a landlord, this makes my job easier. This ladder is easy to travel with and extend as well as detract. I was initially concerned with it holding my weight 190 lbs. and it was sturdier than my Gorilla flex ladder. I will say that someone inexperienced with how adjustable ladder work and risk, they can be dangerous. For example, the way the ladder detract can injury your fingers if they are bet/w the ladders while collapsing. Again use common sense here folks. This ladder worked best for me to reach my roof latch with minimal space for a regular ladder on third floor. Was easy to carry up stairs and set up. No worrying about breaking windows or dropping tenant items in their patio since it is easy to carry when collapsed and light weight.

I'm 5' 10 1/2" tall and 186lbs, and this ladder works very well for me. I have seen some reviews saying they had issues with the ladder being dangerous when collapsing it. Not so. If you use common sense you start at the top and each section has it's own release, or you can pick a release part way down and everything above that will collapse. If you choose the bottom release and be sure to keep your neck or fingers between the sections well think Murphy's law.I love this ladder, much lighter than folding or conventional, effortless extending and collapsing. Solid ladder that works well for its intended purpose. Easy to collapse (watch your fingers) and store. My only complaint is that you have to collapse from the bottom which is awkward but not a big deal. Would recommend

The ladder goes up easily and felt safe when I used it. Be careful when lowering. I have decided to retract it when it is on its side. Comes down too fast in vertical position and I am afraid it will break.

We were impressed with the solid construction and easy of operation. This is a much better and sturdy ladder than what came with our Tule Foothills rooftop tent. We removed the top caps and inserted a tube with the attachment, and works perfectly.

Product works well, but assembly was very difficult. I watched the video which didn’t help because it skipped through the part I needed to see. Putting the rubber grips on the balance bar was very dangerous. The ends of the balance bar are razor sharp and the rubber grips didn’t want to go on at all. It truly seemed like the hole on the grip was too small for the bar. I was afraid to push it with my hand because it could have caused a cut very easily. I ended up having to get them on by hammering them on. This took a lot of time.

I purchased this to use for getting into my attic. 10.5 ft works great for this task and I can even use it to push the panel up out of the way. It definitely beats dragging my Little Giant ladder up from the garage. That thing weighs a ton and I have to make multiple heights changes to make it work whereas this is lightweight and compact.

Item collapses perfectly, but it’s heavier than expected. We were going to use it for Travel, but due to the weight, we opted for our garage. It fits perfectly for attic access.

It does the job. Not the most professional ladder but perfect for quick jobs on the fly. And it takes up no room.

It came so fast. It is perfect for in our RV. Stows away and extends to the height we need. Quite sturdy. As one other person said, it does snap down fast and might pinch a finger, but you will remember for the next time. Fantastic. 5 stars

Does exactly what I want. Folds to be relatively small and is sturdy enough for an adult male.

Easy to transport and put up. Never had any concern of fingers getting pinched.

This is an ideal ladder to carry in an RV as it is compact and light. Cost is reasonable for the product.
