Purchased this for camping to cut kindling to burn. It has very good weight distribution and comes out of the wood easily. It is also the sharpest axe I ever bought. Good job.

For Father's Day I know my husband will take anything from DeWalt so I got him this. He's in love with it and says it's even better than his estwing axe he swears by.

I wanted something small and portable with a sheath to protect the edge. I like dewalt for power tools but I didn’t know they made this kind of tool. It is one piece steel with a rubberized handle. It is not too wide behind the edge. It comes with an ok edge but I wanted it a bit more sharp just took a stone to it and got my edge on it. The head comes with a thin coating like very thin plastic to protect it, I figured it out when I started sharpening it. The steel is not that hard it is more on the softer side but that is a good thing you can abuse it and bring back the edge pretty fast. It has a flat face opposite to the edge to use as a hammer. I think it is good for camping and other things that require you chopping. It feels quality for sure. The only thing it is the price a bit on the higher side but it does feel good quality.

It’s well built, doesn’t vibrate when you strike, holds a good sharp edge, I purchased this to use indoors at the fireplace, and will be using it for other things like camping, backpacking, wood-shop, etc., it wont replace a full axe, however it works for what I need it for 100%,

This is a great hatchet.I just wish it came with a leather sheath rather than plastic.I'll never buy a different kind,*This is a product worth spending your money on
