Quality replacement and great value parts
Existing unit has weathered and cracked beyond usability. Replacement unit required as part of full caravan service.

Worked well to convert from Carver to Truma
As described, full kit to convert from Carver housing to Truma. I'd problems with the fittings to convert the pump head to the Truma as you need a special pair of pliers for the hose ring. I just bought a new pump and everything is working again. The instructions were very good but they don't tell you how the pipe connectors operate and I'm knew to this.I noticed my old carver had a ball type non return valve inside the inlet. My new pump keeps running and when I unplug it the water back flows out. Why does it not have a non return valve? I have since fitted a non return valve and everything working now as it should.

Easy to fit.
Really happy...comes with everything.....my old housing had split and to buy just the housing was more expensive than getting this kit. It fits perfect and comes with a filter and a new pistol grip, which I haven't used yet as there's nothing wrong with my existing one. The new filter is handy as I replace these on a regular basis and find I get through 4 or 5 of these in a season. For those people complaining about the plastic build of this, it's an OEM item and has to be light to keep weight down. There's always been a small problem stopping leaks without over tightening the blue cap. I find it works better if you use 2 rubber seals, 1 inside the cap and 1 on the outside of the threaded part of the filter housing. As for removing the old mastic before fitting this new item I found I didn't need to buy any special scraper as an old plastic bank card did the job perfectly

Not cheap but it does the job
Bought as a direct replacement for our old one which had a broken lid.Easy to fit once you’ve removed the old mastic.

Straight replacement
I don’t like this system the pistol is too difficult to remove from the housing and pipe work to the water container too stiff. The reason I bought this is it was a straight replacement and didn’t involve any changes to the caravan wall or water system. It is However value for money if you take into account you get the water filter and a new pistol added together around £40. I did however only want the part to go on the caravan wall but couldn’t find it on its own.

Cheaply made, prone to failure
The product feels quite plasticy and cheap but was easy enough to install. On inserting the filter I initially tightened the cap quite lightly. It leaked a bit so I tightened a little more (only hand tight though, no tools). Within 48h it leaked. The threads have cracked.Initial feedback from Truma: I needed to speak to a caravan engineer because it was due to back pressure from an internal pump (I bought the truma submersible pump with this item and was using that)feedback from then caravan engineer was that this was nonsense. On my second approach to Truma they suggested that I had over tightened it. Now this makes more sense but I'd contend that, if I have, it is because the build quality is so poor. Also not clear how it didn't leak right away.
